Delicious!

Are here last year and was really impressed! I was expecting something a lot more rough and ready! Had the caprese schnitzel which was excellent! Well worth a visit!

I love eating challenges. I love the novelty of huge portions. This restaurant is the best big food restaurant I have ever been to. The 1kg schnitzels and ribs, the 30cm diameter burger and the 600g currywurst. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. Even the ice cream is incredible. 3 huge scoops (looks like three tubs of B&J's. The staff were... More

Last year, in September I did a long trip in west Europe including Germany. I have been before few times but never I heard about this place. The place is a little hide between Stuttgart and Baden Baden in a forest, a wonderful and very quit place. You must look for a little the place but at the end, MERIT.... More

We had been at this place a couple of years ago and the meals were very good. Even the large portions are too much to eat. The menu is wide and varied. The place is always busy and you really should make a reservation. The staff are friendly an helpful. The Schnitzels are something else but be prepared to ask... More

We arrived on a very busy Saturday evening, without a reservation. However, the host realised that we arrived especially to eat there, and a table was quickly found. The service was really attentive and good, The waitress spoke very good English, not so common in Germany, we found out. The food was as we expected, very big, yet tasty and... More

Waldgeist is on the you must visit restaurants in Germany. The food is good and everything is just extra large. Staff speaks English and it is a great place to enjoy a huge Schnitzel, Hamburger and cold 2 liters beers. I always go for either Jagger Schnitzel or Gorgonzola Schnitzel. I highly recommend it especially if you live in the... More

With a curry wurst which is more than a pound, a 1 foot across burger or a 6 pound schnitzel (yes over 6 pounds - 2.75 kg) you WILL be walking out of there with a doggy bag. Drinks are measured in Litres so be sure you are both hungry and thirsty when you go here. For people with normal... More

Choose wisely your meal, because you'll eat it for several days ! It's almost impossible to finish your meal at Waldgeist, as they are only speaking in hundreds or kilograms, or liters. There is nothing small, from the 600+ grams sausages to the 2+ kg snitzels and watermelon-sized burgers, you won't have a small plate in front of you. Even... More

Nice restaurant for large groups, to go with your mates to drink (large) beers or for families. Nice surroundings, the children can play around. The quality is ok, nothing fancy, but one can say it is really price worth. Large portions. Schnitzel 9,50 € (large portion), steak as from 230g 18,50 €, fried Camembert with salad 7,50. Large beergarten.

Traditional German food with super sized portions. The food is good but not great. We ordered schnitzels that were so large that we packed up the left overs and had a second meal. The service is quite good. Our waitress was charming, helpful, and very friendly.,I loved the drive into the countryside to find the restaurant. I surges ordering the 1/4... More
