The warm and friendly hosts bring you a delightful taste of Italy in this homely setting with a gorgeous view. I cannot wait to get back to experience these delightful and delicious flavours so carefully and expertly put together by the chefs. A culinary treat is not enough to express my delight in my dining experience Thank you

We loved this Italian Restaurant and although we were only in the area for a week we returned for a second dinner which was even better than the first! Superb food and excellent service although unfortunately on both occasions there was no line fish available. I had the Calamari on my first visit and a Seafood Pasta the second time... More

My love of Italy and Italian food started many years ago when my family spent holidays each year with an Italian family in Lugo, Emilia Romagna - my heart and my taste buds learnt an awful lot over my teenage years! On my first visit to South Africa I ate at a variety of restaurants in Cape Town, Plettenberg Bay,... More

Our family love this restaurant and can recommend this to any fellow traveller knowing that you will enjoy a meal to remember. From the parking attendant through to the owners you can expect to be treated like a member of the family. The food stands up to the best I have tasted in any Restaurant in Umbria - one of... More

Disappointed that there is no Pizza or Gnochi on the menu. Parmesan cheese is charged as an extra (the don't tell you). Owner was there but does not ask you how your meal is. I has a seafood carbonara; shrimps, tiny calamari and 4 mussels stuck to shells with beards not removed.

Good day, I understand your disappointment for not finding pizza at Casa Toscana. There is a big misunderstanding around Italian restaurants: Italian food does not (necessarily) mean pizza. Casa Toscana focuses on home-made slow-food, including a selection of antipasti, pastas, meat, seafood and desserts. With regards to Parmigiano, every pasta dish that calls for Parmigiano leaves our kitchen with a... More

This is wine of my favorite restaurants on the South Coast and we went there for Sunday lunch hoping for good things. The view still fantastic and ambiance excellent. The staff are friendly and manager attentive without being obsequious. As usual a good venue. Unfortunately the food was a little disappointing. I had starters of prawn tails in bacon and... More

Good day Richard and thank you for your feedback. I am really sorry that your lunch on Sunday was not as you expected... as I always say things can go wrong sometime ! Just a note regarding the prawns : the pancetta that we use to wrap the prawns tails is a bit different from bacon, it is not smoked,... More

I love the south coast of KZN however it's biggest problem is that it's stuck in the 1970s when it comes to cuisine. Most restaurants are gaudy and serve you average food. However this is one restaurant that both has attention to detail and serves food of amazing quality and value. It's surprising as it's tucked away on a farm... More

No trip to the South Coast would ever be complete without a dinner at Casa Toscana. Every since I've discovered this place I've come here regularly. I have yet to find a better Italian Restaurant in South Africa that serves delicious, authentic gourmet Italian food at reasonable prices! From the porcini souffle starter to the delicious homemade pastas and the... More
