Good environment

The food was ok, nothing impressive, but I had a turkey schnitzel with mushrooms that was tasty but the rest of the plate was filled with a bunch of French fries. It was pretty packed but we found space up near the back where the old brewing equipment sits. Many tables were playing cards and... read more

This restaurant in well knows from it´s traditional menu. And that´s true: Foods are traditional german foods, and portions are big (as usually in Germany). Service was good, and pricelevel was very cheap! We had a group of 35 persons, but still the service was quick and friendly.

What a fantastic evening we have just had. Found this brew house on trip advisor and decided to give it a go. The beer is fantastic, the staff helpful and the locals a joy to chat to. We speak no German so they spoke to us in broken English. They were really great fun and we have a super evening.... More

Used this establishment as a meeting point . We never left, great atmosphere, traditional, no music which was great as we could talk. Overall a brilliant time. The only downside was toHe wine almost unprintable, beer grea. Definately reccommend for atmosphere and a great place too meet up with friends.

Typical German tavern. Good beer, decent food. Affordable. Friendly staff. Close to the castle, so make sure you stop by for a beer.

Home made good beer, you can see the process by the attached beer museum. The food taste very good from the insalate to the dessert. It's placed into an old building with a particolar atmosphere. Near the Johannisber castle. No more word, visit it!

i think its one of the oldest and most original beer places in aschaffenburg - its for young and old, rich and normal - you will meet them all sitting together on long benches in the late afternoon - inside or outside - having a beer and a chat before going home from work - a pefect meeting place

This is a quaint old brewery style restaurant. The food was good, but the menu was limited and the portions were on the smaller side. The food tasted excellent and the beer was good as well. On a 100° day in Germany, the cold beer was a welcomed sight.
