We had a family reunion and this was a perfect spot to enjoy the scenery of the Lake. The food was authentic, although my Jaegarsnitzel was a little tough. I didn't have dessert but I must say the Hot Chocolate is to die for. This was a pleasant experience but not a true dining experience.

We ate dinner at the restaurant. We ordered the steak, the chicken and the trout. It was all good. But the trout was especially fresh. I also had the Black Forest Cake. It melted in my mouth and was as good as I had heard. Great food, reasonable prices - we will return when next in the area.

On our day trip to lake Titisee we stopped at Bergsee for lunch. Situated on the first floor, it overlooks the lake & the provides a great view. You can ask for an English menu if German is an issue. The food is moderately priced and good to eat, however, what you cannot miss having is the Black forest cake.... More

The food and atmosphere was really good, They have English menus. The Goulash was served on a plate rather than a soup but it was okay. The turkey schnitzel was amazing!

We were staying at the nearby Maritim Hotel and favoured a change of scene for dining one evening. The Bergsee proved an excellent choice, so we were happy to return there on a second occasion during our few days in Titisee. Our command of the German language is not good, so it was useful to see an English version of... More

If you want to try the authentic regional German food, than this is the right place for you. The restaurant is furnished in recognizable Schwarzwald style and is just charming. Make sure the weather is nice when you visit, the view from the terrace is beautiful.

i sometimes like to try places other TA reviewers slam just to be different - well, I really liked the Bergsee. We were served by a really helpful waitress from Titisee who bought us really gorgeous local Bavarian food in a quick time, followed by scrumptious Zahnetorte (cream cake). The interior of the restaurant was all pine, with a few... More
