Always nice in every season

we visit this place regularly due to the stunning views over the valley below and the variety of local festivals held here throughout the year. It's especially nice to park halfway up the hill and walk up through the forest, also visiting in the evening you might be rewarded with a spectacular... read more

My reason for this top rating is twofold: you'll get good local cuisine here for a good price and in major quantities. It is also one of the best places in the area for a walk along silent forest lanes for many miles. In fall and winter the plateau below the Einkorn with it's villages can be seen below through... Two local families with my surname set up a late afternoon meeting here with me and three members of my US family to explore whether we might be related. We have been visiting the Einkorn for many years, as we have a home nearby, and always have a nice time there. Situated at the top of the Einkorn hill 510 metres above Schwäbisch Hall this is more than just a Gasthaus, there is also: The ruin of a Pilgrimage Church that is used as a venue for parties, weddings... The food and service were good on both occasions that I had eaten at the Einkorn, the menu selection is reasonable, the pork roast was very good and the Maultaschen is a very nice local dish. The most impressive thing about the beer garden and restaurant is its location, during the warmer seasons to be able to eat and drink... More
