We enjoyed fresh asparagus, new potatoes and a "small" salmon steak. The asparagus was brilliant, the salmon expertly pan fried and quite sizeable and the new potatoes so tasty, we didn't even pour the prepared melted butter over them. A superb lunch!

The atmosphere of this place is very nice: old building restored with taste. It was asparagus season, so we had soupe of it to start and for main dish asparagus with hollandaise sauce. All good. For desert some ice cream. With two glasses of local white wine and two espressos all together 67 euros. Very reasonable. First the service was... More

I am a german who moved to the US 25 years ago, but I try to retun home every year. My wife and I make it point to return to the Klosterscheuer every year we visit. The kids stay with Oma and we make it a date night. We stroll through Bad Herrenalb (a must do) and we end our... More

We had dinner at this restaurant, mostly because of the nice setting and the outdoor terrace service. If you like to try out the local food this restaurant might be a good choice but we found it all a bit to heavy and we missed some other choices on the menu.

The food was very well cooked and presented on the plate. It was a traditional local dish, but it seemed to just be that level above other places in the little town. There was plenty of the well tasting food served by the freindly staff. The interior was nicely decorated, not nearly as tacky as the rest of the town,... More

We know very well this restaurant since several years. I dined with my wife 3 days ago and the gastronomic quality was poor. The meat was tough, the "house made maultaschen" wasn't good and we waited 45 min. to be served. Somebody said me that they have a new "chief". Sorry for this beautiful restaurant.
