We came there after a good trip in limburg and wanted to have good german lunch. The place is an old place from the 17th century so it gave a special atmosphere. The menu was written with old gothic letters and it was slightly hard to read. We ordered a Sauerbraten(local german pork dish), a Burgskellerplanne( pork cut into strips,... More

Yummmmm! What a great restaurant, with great food, great bier on tap (Zischke, one of my favorites), and a wonderful ½ timbered building. We had Wiener schnitzel, goulasch soup, and a side of bratkartofflen. All were excellent. I absolutely love the ambiance and décor inside this 364 year old building. Dark, wood, and comfortable. I’d definitely eat here again!

The last night out of a fantastic vacation, found the best food in the second most picturesque town in town in Germany. Prices are high in Europe, but found value of the food and atmosphere to be higher than the price. The menu was in English , but a hard to get the waitress understand. The ambiance delightful.

We are staying in Limburg, but there are more pizzerias than expected. It was good to find this gem which is old world with a large variety of food and drink.

One of the few German restaurants in Limburg, which has a great selection of Italian etc, Zum Burgkeller offers great food, friendly service and superb, traditional German surroundings. The building is in the Altstadt, and is traditional Fachwerk (timber framed black and white) The food is standard German, and actually pretty basic. I just had steak with fried onions and... More

Good food, local cuisine, local beers, very genuine. I spent 22 euros for a starter, main course, beer and dessert. I was very full after that. The only weird thing was the blonde waitress that seemed a little bit nervous with us in the beginning and didn't look really welcoming, but in the end of the dinner looked more relaxed.... More
