On a recommendation from our accommodation, we visited this restaurant and were not disappointed. It was a bit cold at night but worth rugging up for the sunset views. The food was excellent with lots of variety and surprisingly not overpriced. Try for a water front table

We went there for dinner. I had the best goulash soup I ever tasted. The rump steak was awesome in perfect medium condition. Beautiful view on the lake. Free parking. The place is very popular, so if you're planning a visit - book a table in advance.

Definitely seems to be a favorite for locals - restaurant was very busy - we were lucky to find a seat. The service was friendly. The food was okay - typical dishes for the area - expensive for what it was. Even though there aren't a lot of great alternatives in the immediate vicinity, I probably wouldn't go back.

We had lunch at the Echostuberl recently and enjoyed it very much. I had the schnitzel which was fantastic and an HB beer which can't be beat. The service was good as well. I love the interior decor because it's very homey, has a lot of historical artifacts and local pictures throughout. There are numerous tables outside as well overlooking... More

To top the location of this restaurant is probably not possible. Been able to sit there, drink a Beer (Helles) and enjoy natures beauty is real delight! The food (meat, fish and sauces) good, unfortunately the side dishes (fries / Bratkartoffeln) jump right out of packages of the food industry.

Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful setting on the edge of Lake Konigssee. The food is excellent and freshly prepared. Although it offers the usual Bavarian specialities there is more variety than some other restaurants in Bavaria and some lighter options. We ate there on two evenings and enjoyed everything we had. The first evening a local family were having a birthday... More

Not sure where to eat, we asked a local lady which restaurant was the best in Schönau. She recommended us the Echostüberl, a short walk from the centre of the village, right next to the lake with a wonderful view. We sat on the terrace at a table that the helpful staff swiftly dried off for us (it had rained... More

Only appear on the Menu during hunting season from April to October. Three kinds of seasonal meat on the plate, taste wonderful with their special sauce! There are only 2 restaurants in Königsee who sell fish grow up "in the lake", Echostüberl is one of them. (the other one is called Historische Gaststätte at St. Bartholomä) Personally I think the...
