Bavarian atmosphere

Typically Allgau with fantastic food and great beers made on site. The atmosphere is always exceptional here and there is nearly always an entertainer of some sort . I have now eaten here a few times and I have never once been disappointed. You will not leave hungry! This is generally a bar for the... read more

Visited the restaurant last week (7th Oct) and found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Their own weissbier is brewed onsite and the food was exceptional. I had the leberkase and it was one of the best dishes of leberkase I have ever tasted. Added bonus was the music being played was all from the 80's The restaurant... More

I have had a lot of good experiences in the Alps in bars which happen to be near the station, this one was no exception. Copper mash tuns in the middle of the bar, all good Allgau bier, lots of wood. Open later than most other places and the closest thing we found to a 'bierkeller'. Busy on a Sunday... More

This is a brewery/restaurant with good food and daily specials. Some nights there is entertainment, and it is often crowded, so a reservation is needed.

Very good traditional Barvaian food and micro brewery - some of the best we had in Germany. Packed with live music, and a amazing (middle aged) party atmosphere.

Arrive hungry because the portions are huge! Local dialects, friendly service and Tuesday through Saturday live music. What more can you ask for in the German Alps. Yes, on an ordinary evening it is ok to wear your dirndl.

Love this brewery, the weizen beer is excellent, service is good if a little brusque from some staff, but it is busy, and my deutsche isn't great, so its possibly a bit frustrating for some. One of the best places to visit in Oberstdorf. And food portions are big, don't be too greedy.

This was possibly the biggest disappointment of our holiday. The place is very touristy, the staff were grumpy and unhelpful, and the food was only average. There was a band playing live music which gave the place a reasonable atmosphere, but the entertainment is better in the other places in Oberstdorf, and there are far better restaurants too.

Popular restaurant with it's own micro brewery. The beer is very much in demand here and our group enjoyed it immensely. Staff are very helpful. English menu and no language barrier problems. Slightly more expensive than other places in Oberstdorf but you will be very well looked after. Live music which everyone seemed to be enjoying. Massive portions and very... More
