The menu seems not to chsnge and the portions are large. The style tries to be modern but is overwhelmed by the quantity

We were fortunate to have been recommended to stay here. On our way to Cologne we had lunch at Weite Welt and asked the waiting staff where was the best hotel to stay at. We thank her for her recommendation. This is a first-class, superb hotel, our room overlooked the square and we were wakened by the Glockenspiel, a clock... More

This is a restaurant with nice ambience. Service was very friendly, though a key question (how would you like your beef to be done?) was missed. The food was average fare for this kind of restaurant. The Wiener Schnitzel was veal, as it should be, but the meat was too thick and the breading, not fluffy enough. The chateaubriand was... More

Since we'd already scheduled an early evening walking tour and thus didn't have time for dinner, we were only able to try coffee and cake. Seating is inside in a lovely dining room, under the arcades, or directly on the square, which we chose. Our nice server claimed the cakes were homemade, and they indeed were delicious, the cappuccino and... More

We ate an early dinner in the front outdoor seating, and we have magical memories of the experience. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. The menu is very traditional for the area, with a few twists. If you love chanterelles, an early autumn visit is very worthwhile. The service was far above average. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Perhaps we just don’t appreciate German cuisine, but we find most German restaurants good or very good, but only a few that really knock your socks off. 'Die Worth' restaurant in the Hotel Kaiserworth fits that bill: a nice restaurant with good or very good food, but not the blissful dining experience one hopes for. We had carrot & asparagus... More

From reading the reviews from other trip advisers we seem to have a rare experience. The pork fillet which I received was well overcooked and the rosti my wife was served was dripping with fat. We complained to the very charming waitress who conveyed the comment to the 'chef'. The same 'chef' decided it was appropriate to tour the restaurant... More
