Bamberg is not a great place for food but this is one of the better options. Excellent schnitzel and salad and really good value. Their Herren Pils is also one of city's best beers.

The Stube (room) was full, so we had a beer in the standing area. It was exceptional, a really good pils, with a great barrel taste. We did not eat. The courtyard out the back looked very pleasant. Staff were friendly, although the dialect was a little confusing for us.

Less touristy because of its location, we loved the authentic decor and atmosphere. The beer is quite different from the other breweries we tried- loved the "Herrenpils" .The food was fab too (although Spezialkeller's was the best). We were privileged to meet Mrs Keesman herself. What a nice lady.

I just got done eating at Brauerei Keesmann and it is one of the my favorite restaurants in Germany. Off of another review's recommendation, my wide got the cordon bleu- easily the best I have ever had. On a recommendation from a gentleman we shared a table with, I got the Schäuferla. Both dishes were incredible and we could not... More

Keesmann Bier has its special beer sorts. The most famous is Herrenpils which is very outstanding. I think it is the most interesting type of beer in this city. I also ate many courses at this place and i must agree the food here is delicious. My favourites are Leber and Schauferla. The cook Benny is a master of Franconian... More

The title says it all...great food and great beer! I've been here 3 times in my last two visits to Bamberg and I will make an effort to go back every time! The best Cordon Bleu I've ever had, the two steaks I had were also great. It's not a place for a quiet, caldlelight dinner, but then again it's... More
