Worthwhile!

I really love German beer and the local brewery places that are so abundant in Bamberg but to be honest they often lack aspects like charm and service and more specifically real go. Here at Bolero you get a place where things seem to happen and where the service tends to your needs. And the prices... read more

When we arrived the place was over crowded. We chosed meat, which was perfectly cooked and tender. But there is nothing that comes with it. You have to pay extra for French fries and for veggies. We got only 2 sliced mushrooms which is ridiculous. Waiting time is too long and it's more an tourist trap than a cosy restaurant

If you are in Bamberg and you want to escape from german food don't go Bolero's! Cooking is very bad! An exemple? A sort of ketchup on chicken roasted on stips! All tapas were full of tomato sauce. The relation between quality and prices is bad. Furthermore, a 0,75 cl bottle of mineral water cost 5,90 Euro! If I'll come... More

We visited this restaurant as an alternative option (we are not fans of Bavarian cuisine) and it was really good deal. I tried gazpacho, which was light and tasty and salad with grilled shrimps, the portion was quite big, vegetable fresh, exactly, like it should look in salad. Service was nice and quick. Overall recommended. And they have a nice... More

I love Bolero! The Atmosphere, the Entertainment, the Location, and the TAPAS! Parking is also available at the Geyersworth Deep Garage, and after a walk over the Bridge and an awesome view of the Rathaus, "I enter the Garden of Bolero." :) Breath-Taking, Romantic, Family Friendly, and all around Good Taste! Oh! If you are using the public Transportation, then... More

scared by the throngs of tourists hoovering down rather unimaginative German fare further to the main sport at the foot of the dome, we escaped to Bolero. We had an assortment of tapas first and here can recommend the pancakes filled with Bärlauch, potatoes with tomatoes and the meatballs. Actually all were very good. And then we had pasta for... While walking through Bamberg after dark (in a seemingly empty city), trying to find a place to eat, we stumbled upon this restaurant! It was during the weekend, so we expected a crowd, but this was not so. The interior was warm and inviting for an intimate dinner. If you have trouble reading a menu in German, don't be afraid... Head over to Bolero's on Monday for the best 2.50 EURO tapas I've ever had! If you can made a reservation do so because the place is packed, and if you rock up before 7.30pm it's also $5.00 cocktails. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere!

Foods were tasty and I liked the the atmosphere. But the sevice was poor. Waiters weren't friendly at all. We had to wait for almost an hour after we ordered. It was obvious that they forgot out food but we didn't even get a sorry. I will never go there again.
