My partner and I found this little restaurant rather by accident when looking for a nice and quiet place to eat near the Stephanskirche when we visited Konstanz in September. The selection of food to choose from is very good and they offer a large number of vegetarian options as well as local dishes. We chose a vegetarian dish which... More

The pan served curry dishes are superb ("veggie meal of my life" per my wife!). Kids enjoyed the apple & cinnamon dunnell (german pizza).

The waiter did not know what darjeeling tea was, and when I complained about too much dressing on the salad (the salad was swimming in a bath of milky dressing) the waiter said, "well some people want it, some people don't want it, nothing I can do about it!" We visited Stephanskeller in July 2012 and enormously impressed. And by George it was listed on the SAT NAV and off we went during the October visit to Lake Constance. The owner and his wife are friendly and hospitable. Food was opulent, tasty. Not in the least bathing in oil, meats were lean cuts, salad fresh from the Market, dressing... More

Different types of German dishes to choose from as well as local beer. Cost is very reasonable. Would recommend this restaurant.
