The Ophelia's menu appears to be a model of simplicity - 'crayfish, celery, rice, passion fruit' and 'lobster, courgette, olive, lemon' reads well, but the dishes served contained up to a dozen different elements on the same plate. Having said that, we could not find fault with the flavours. Some of the combinations, in a quinoa garnish for example, were... More

Had the pleasure to enjoy this magnificent restaurant. Two Michelin stars speak for itself! Every dish is made up like a painting and every bite you take explodes in your mouth. Top chef who really managed to not only cook on the highest level, but also create art on every plate. Even if you don't stay at the RIVA hotel,... More

We started in the hotel bar for a small aperitif, before taking the short walk to this very special restaurant.Werner the Maitre d' welcomed us with a warm smile, and when soon we were drinking a lovely glass of Rose sekt. The menu is written very simply but it only tells you a part of the story! Before you order Werner ensured that all... The Ophelia is wonderfully located on the shore of Lake Constance with a marvellous view over the lake to the Swiss Alps. You cannot beat that. The atmosphere inside is lavish and noble. The staff was friendly, attentive and perfect yet at the same time seemed a little tense and lacked a bit of ease and warmth. Each course was... More

I was favorably impressed. We ordered the four course menu. However it is better described as closer to ten courses as the meal is preceded by an armada of small appetizers. In many ways they stole the thunder from the four chosen courses that followed. The cooking is quite precise so that each preparation was what it was meant to... More

I wouldn't say this one of the top 5 meals I have ever had, but I would still call it outstanding. My dinner included beef carpacio (very light, just amount of seasoning), local white fish with gnocchi and sweet potatoes and a light glass of red wine. Totally worth taking the time to cross the water via ferry from Meersburg!... More

This has got to be amongst the top 3 meals I have ever eaten.I was dining some really good friends who live in Konstanz. I had as always emailed my dietary restrictions before I arrived. This was noted perfectly. They ensured that my friends were not deprived of anything to fit in with me,which was excellent! The evening starts with a wave... More

Ophelia is one of the top 3 restaurants I have ever been to. Everything is amazing. The food of course is great. And the food is at par with the ambience, the excellent service ( the Maitre D' is the best ever) and the whole dining experience.... We have been back a couple of times and will keep going back....
