Great lunch with three small children

First ones there at 11:30 with children 1, 3 and 5. Whew were treated very well by our English speaking waitress. Good food was served quickly (schnitzel, salads, bratwurst). Portions were huge, and all six of us were well pleased. Oh, having just come from Switzerland we couldn't believe how... read more

I walked into the Muensterhof to have a quick beverage and dessert well before 5 p.m. on a slow Tuesday evening. As I began to take a seat near the center of the restaurant, all the tables were reserved except for some tables near the front window where the few customers inside seemed to be congregated. It would have been... More

To be honest, when we sat down we assumed that the great location on the square outside the church was going to be countered with tourist trap food and prices, but we were happily surprised to find the food very nicely prepared and reasonably priced. We would definitely eat here again if and when we revisit Konstanz.

We had an unexpectedly tasty, good-value weekday lunch here after ducking in to get out of the driving rain. This cafe-restaurant is quite tiny (I think I counted 12-15 indoor tables, although in the summer there's probably a lot of outdoor seating); in fact, the waiter had to ask another guest to switch tables to accommodate our party of five.... We visited Muensterhof with a party of 4. The menu serves contemporary dishes and traditional German. I had the Goose for a change with a large beer (0,5), together EUR20. The Goose was brilliant. Comes along with maroons, Preiselbeeren, knoedeln and Rotkraut. A great meal which will satisfy your great appetite. Tasty till the last bite. One of my colleagues... More

Located opposite of the Munster (Dom) the menu consists heavily of southern German food items. Noodles, salads and Flammkuchen also dominate the menu. I ordered a beverage 3.90€ and the Flammkuchen (onion, bacon, tomato, lauch and cream base) for 6.40€. The Flammkuchen was very good. On my weeknight visit, I was surprised the restaurant was not too busy and the... More

We happened by this restaurant, right in front of the Münster church. I was specifically attracted by teh menu choices, which were meat based, and right up my alley, but also the low prices. We glanced inside and decided to give it a go. We were no disappointed. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table that was not... More

My girlfriend had the 'Ravioli' which came swimming in some brown sauce and the sauce tasted off and the waitress refused to bring us the same dish but without the sauce. My girlfriend was nearly sick at the table as the food tasted that bad. The waitress spoke English but was very unhelpful. She then wanted us to pay for... More

A good place to visit if you want great traditional local German food at reasonable prices. We had the dish of the day which was just great. The waitress spoke English so we had good translation, it was also a very friendly place. A good place to visit and well worth 5 stars.

Cake and tea/coffee very good, and it's in a great location, but when we ordered two large slices of cake to share between ourselves and our two children, although we were given 4 plates and 4 forks, we were told that we weren't allowed to share our cake between us!?! Also very slow at giving us the bill. We wouldn't... More
