Located in Altstadt, intimate atmosphere

We visited Muensterhof with a party of 4. The menu serves contemporary dishes and traditional German. I had the Goose for a change with a large beer (0,5), together EUR20. The Goose was brilliant. Located opposite of the Munster (Dom) the menu consists heavily of southern German food items. Noodles, salads and Flammkuchen also dominate the menu. I ordered a beverage 3.90€ and the Flammkuchen (onion, bacon, tomato, lauch and cream base) for 6.40€. The Flammkuchen was very good. On my weeknight visit, I was surprised the restaurant was not too busy and the... More

We happened by this restaurant, right in front of the Münster church. I was specifically attracted by teh menu choices, which were meat based, and right up my alley, but also the low prices. We glanced inside and decided to give it a go. We were no disappointed. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table that was not... More

My girlfriend had the 'Ravioli' which came swimming in some brown sauce and the sauce tasted off and the waitress refused to bring us the same dish but without the sauce. My girlfriend was nearly sick at the table as the food tasted that bad. The waitress spoke English but was very unhelpful. She then wanted us to pay for... More

A good place to visit if you want great traditional local German food at reasonable prices. We had the dish of the day which was just great. The waitress spoke English so we had good translation, it was also a very friendly place. A good place to visit and well worth 5 stars.

Cake and tea/coffee very good, and it's in a great location, but when we ordered two large slices of cake to share between ourselves and our two children, although we were given 4 plates and 4 forks, we were told that we weren't allowed to share our cake between us!?! Also very slow at giving us the bill. We wouldn't... More

Very pleasant on a summer's evening when you can eat outside in the square opposite the minster. The food is well cooked and typically German, not overpriced despite the location. Also the staff are friendly and efficient.

Cannot fault the location or atmosphere, and the same goes for the good. Hearty German fare and beer that was served by friendly waiting staff. Thoroughly recommend the meat roll and salmon dish. Be prepared for considerable portions and for the cathedral bells to go off (if you are outside), and you cannot go wrong.

If you're looking for lunch at a centrally located and comfortable setting, then go no further. We ordered fish fillets in white wine sauce and a stuffed meat roulade in a very tasty sauce. Excellent value, attentive service, good atmosphere. We'll probably visit again before we leave town.

Located in a prime location right opposite the Muenster of Konstanz, restaurant Muensterhof might be mistaken for a tourist trap. It is not! The food is very solid, the service efficient and the atmosphere is pleasant. Without being anything super special, they deliver all that is expected from a traditional German restaurant and they even have a slightly modern twist... More
