New owners much improved

Pleasantly surprised to see the beer garden restored to it's former glory. No more tents coverage blocking out the trees and sky. Service is good. Food good. Nice chilled atmosphere.

We booked a large group of 30 in at The Flying Duck last week. We had been there several times before over the years but not with the new management. Two large tables had been arranged for us in the atrium at the back of the pub. The manager took care of all of the details and the staff quickly... More

We were visiting family who live nearby and saw a write-up for the Flying Duck in What's On Melbourne. Recently remodelled with open areas and a large winter garden out back. Also large deck for the warmer months. Good selection of beers and great food. Can recommend the steaks.

If you are looking for something to eat in Prahran, go no further than the Flying Duck! Excellent food, excellent and friendly service and a great atmosphere. The best mushroom risotto I have ever had!

The Meals were fabulous and the staff very friendly. It's comparable in price to other pubs, but the standard/quality of meals is much higher than other places. Great atmosphere, highly recommend!

For weeks tradies have crawled over the Duck, my local, as renovations progress. I am hard pressed to see what is new except the carpet is no longer sticky and it looks much cleaner. The beer garden remains paradise. We selected porcini and hazelnut croquettes, salt and pepper squid and a beetroot and apple slaw. The slaw was average at... More

My local pub is now owned by the same family that own and operate the Flinders Hotel on the Mornington Peninsula. They have completed a very stylish renovation ensuring that the cosy feel has not been lost. The outside area is now all cleaned up, inside the old original brick walls have been exposed and some of rooms have beautiful... More

Went to the Flying Duck for our Christmas staff break up. The courtyard was booked by our office and was a really pleasant place to sit on a nice summer's day. Huge palm trees kept the sun off our group and there was plenty of room between the tables to mingle. An adequate number of staff were allocated to our... More

My friends held their leaving party here just before moving from Melbourne to Sydney and it was a great venue. We had the whole conservatory which was a really nice size, and kept really cozy despite the horrible weather outside. We'd already had dinner, but had dessert before everyone arrived and it was one of the best sticky date puddings... More
