FOOD AND SERVICE GOOD, DRINKS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!

Went to the Flying Duck for our Christmas staff break up. The courtyard was booked by our office and was a really pleasant place to sit on a nice summer's day. Huge palm trees kept the sun off our group and there was plenty of room between the tables to mingle. An adequate number of staff were... read more

My friends held their leaving party here just before moving from Melbourne to Sydney and it was a great venue. We had the whole conservatory which was a really nice size, and kept really cozy despite the horrible weather outside. We'd already had dinner, but had dessert before everyone arrived and it was one of the best sticky date puddings... More

Reasonably nice setting. Traditional pub fare trying to be fancy. Still pub food but just costs more. Very noisy & lots of drunk people which is disappointing as could be a nice pub. In a residential setting, feel sorry for the locals as the drunk patrons exiting the pub were singing & shouting in the street.

We only discovered this backstreet gem via a voucher deal and we were very pleasantly surprised. We booked in for Saturday lunch on a chilly winters day and were welcomed by an open log fire which made it a warm, cosy dining experience. For entrée we shared a tasting plate including kofta balls with house chutney, crab arancini, salami, olives,... More

Great if you need a quick feed at the local, with a few beers with friends. Remember it is a pub trying to serve fancy food. It is perfect for a meet up with friends and remember to check out the outdoor area. Don't come here expecting to be wowed, as the food does miss the mark.

Even with the low expectations we would have from pub grub, this place was a major disappointment. Whilst the food was just ok, and the outdoor area pleasant enough, that is the extent of anything positive we can report. Staff were disinterested, disengaged and mostly disappeared!! There was almost no one else in the place, yet everything seemed to just... More

Tuesday night at The Duck is Steak Night. Have tried this for one night a month over the past five months and have never experienced a badly cooked steak. Always medium-rare and tender, as expected. Excellent value when chips and salad are added. Wine list has some good options as well.

We went to The Flying Duck in Bendigo Street, Prahan last Saturday for lunch with friends and we had a lovely time. The service was excellent as to was the food. Fillet Steak, Lamb Shanks and Kangaroo Fillets were all delicious. The open fire was a bonus but the Atrium with glass roof was also cosy. Would recommend for a... More

We dropped in for an early dinner on a very cold Friday night and were welcomed into a homely warm bistro with blazing fires. It was very busy and the effecient staff were run off their feet.We started with a shared tasting platter, excellent, then I had Pork Belly wich was delicious, tender, melt in mouth pork, crispy crackling with... The beer garden was fantastic. Those beautiful trees that once graced the view are now completely blocked out. It's tent city. Such a shame.
