Delicate, seasonal cooking

Friendly local restaurant, where the proprietor / chef makes excellent use of local, seasonal produce. Presentation is artistic & a delicate. Portions are not huge; so, if that's what you're looking for don't go! Front of house is led by the eponymous Aline, who is friendly and charming, and goes... read more

Was recently in Bordeaux and the quality of the food here rivals or excels the city. His beef is incredibly tender and the portions are large and beautifully presented . He and his wife run a wonderful French restaurant!,, And they are both gracious hosts.

We visited the beautiful medieval village of St Robert on a more practical trip to the sawmill at Bodefols d'Ans not far away. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of a nearby brocante and lunch beckoned. We were not disappointed. The welcome was friendly and the service excellent. The lunchtime menu was delicious. We were served with the best... More

We discovered La Table d'Aline a few years ago and every time we're in the area it's top of the list to visit - more recently we went with my father and although some might feel the menu is limited (there is a choice of 3 items for each course for a menu that's such excellent value at under EUR30),... We ate here because we were tasting there menu to see if we were going to use them for our wedding and we weren't let down in the slightest. The Chef has cooked all over the world and settled down here to make delicious food. He was so accommodating and the sample meals he gave us were delicious. We ate... More

We are so pleased to have recently discovered this delightful little restaurant in St Robert. So pleased in fact that we have been back on several occasions and it continues to delight. St Robert is a lovely village and the restaurant is close to the centre. The shaded courtyard makes a wonderful setting for a leisurely summer lunch and inside... More

St Robert is a tiny medieval town in Correze (near Brive). The hotel restaurant is charming, the food exceptional; they had the best poached salmon I have ever had. The single waitress was unbelievably efficient. This would get my top rating

During our last stay in the Dordogne,we asked if there were any new/good restaurants in the area. we were told to try La Table d'Aline, which was a small restaurant with a basic menu, but good quality price. So we drove out to something that was quite a let down., we were served food of a quality that we could... More
