Nice Spot for Lunch

As we were traveling late in the season this was about the only restaurant on the island that was open for lunch. The lunch menu offered a nice choice of items, although they were all a bit pricey. For a light lunch the soup and bread was excellent and was meal by itself. The server spoke English... read more

We were there for breakfast with a view. The food was fresh, homemade and delicious! Although the river was frozen, the view was just unbelievable!!

Stunning setting - View of Old Quebec City -- on the St-Laurence River - Boats go by while eating a typical French Canadian breakfast which included meat pie, cretons, fresh bread, beans, maple syrup -- etc. Absolutely perfect! We had a family reunion at this location as well as lunch which is always delightful!

This very popular restaurant in the Auberge was a very pleasant surprise. There are two dining rooms...one inside and a smaller, more intimate room that is an enclosed porch. Both are nicely decorated and pleasant. The smaller dining room has windows that provide a nice view of Quebec City in the distance and the St. Lawrence Seaway and all the... More

Superb food, attentive friendly service, comfortable inn with relaxing, romantic atmosphere, scenic views of the St. Lawrence River, high quality, excellent value. Leek soup and Salmon - Chipotle were both remarkably delicious. Did not order wine or dessert beause I had a four hour night-time drive ahead of me but I did observe a fine wine list. Will definitely visit... More

We chose this auberge for its prime location, at the southern tip of the Ile d'Orleans and looking across the St. Lawrence at the skyline of Old Quebec. The view did not disappoint. We were pleased to discover that the building housing the restaurant is quaint and well-appointed, the food is good, and the waitstaff is attentive and discreet. We... More

We stopped there for a cup of coffee and a snack. We took the Bread Pudding. The plate was really nice with a coulis of caramel and chocolate. We got a big slice of Chocolate Bread Pudding... Hummmm Yumm! Right on the water the dinning room is one of the best place to get a really good view of Quebec... More

We have eaten here twice about a year between visits and the food is tasty and is presented nicely. Most recently, we stopped for Sunday brunch. The food was good and the portions generous. I didn't especially care for the coffee as I found it weak. The basket of rolls shaped somewhat like a boat was a nice touch and... More

On the third day of our Quebec City stay the weather forecast was not good for walking the city. So, we got in the car and easily found our way north along the river and turned onto the Ile d'Orleans. This island is mostly forest and farmland, with several picturesque villages. At the north end there is a tower from... More

This restaurant was one of the only ones open during our trip to Orleans Island in May 2013. It's kind of their off season, but we decided to give this place a try. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit tricky since this site is also a hotel. You have to go in, down some stairs and make a... More
