Had dinner twice during our one week trip to Tignes. Hearty traditional french food, very filling big portions, but with finesse. Selection is on the board each day. Limited choice, but it is a small family restaurant with about 20 seats at most. A good, honest village style French niche restaurant. On the 2nd visit we sat next to a... More

Well what can I say about this place. It is smaller than the average French ski apartment. With a slightly bigger kitchen only just mind. But without bunk beds in the hall well it does not have a hall. The food is prepared and presented in a fine dining style with a few quirks. The menu is classically French surprise... More

If you crave a change from the usual Savoyard raclette and fondue restaurants then this is the place. Was initially concerned that the food would not live up to the emphasis placed on presentation (think kilner jars on slate plates and shot glasses at quirky angles) but the food was excellent. The chef patron is clearly passionate about food and... More

Have just eaten here and you cannot fault this restaurant. We have eaten in other places in Tignes for similar prices or more and this is in a class of its own. The menu is limited to a few dishes for starters, main and pudding but we (family of 6) tried the lot and all was great. Only few tables... More

My husband and me knew this restaurant from our previous visits and this time we went for dinner with two couples. We were not dissappointed even this time. The menus are very interesting, the scale is from wild boar to scallops and prawns. We all had fantastic meals with good wine. All the 20 seats in the tiny room were... More

Virtually all the restaurants in Tignes serve either burgers/pizza/chips, or the usual Savoyard fare of fondue, raclette and pierrade. Le Clin d'Oeil is different. It is classic French cuisine in a tiny venue - no more than 6 or 7 tables, so you have to book, and you can easily walk past it without noticing, hence the name (I assume).... More

Had a superb meal here recently as a group of fourteen! Sometimes worried that restaurants will struggle to keep service and quality high with a large group but we were not disappointed. Starter of tartare foie gras in a caramel basket on polenta was superb. Main of scallops in a sea bass broth great, finished with a chocolate mousse and... More

The name tells a lot: One window, one door, on promenade de Toviere. A rare gem in Tignes. The place looks like a Paris Bistrot. The food is outstanding (try the pig or the deer and you won't forget them) and the wine list is up to the task! The place is cozy, just 24 seats! So book in advance!

Fabulous traditional French food with a twist. Tiny intimate restaurant, with kitchen open to the rear. Personal, attentive service and advice on specials, wines etc over a meal which will last 2-3 hours. Good value at 47 euros, although watch the price of the wines list! Booking essential
