Not sure what this restaurant is trying to be. The service is excellent and the menu looked sort of promising but somehow it failed to be fabulous. What on earth is sushi doing on a French restaurant's menu? If it's an effort to be 'fusion' - I think they failed to understand it means various... read more

Lovely restaurant in French skiing and hiking village of samoens. Interior of calming terracotta coloured walls . Welcoming staff, helpfully translating menu into English for us . Wonderfully tasting goats cheese in filou pastry starter perfectly balanced balsamic salad dressing cutting through it, kids thoroughly enjoyed Margaret de canard and excellent steak, and venison fillets too . Good place to... More

Refreshingly different approach for this charming village. Very dedicated management and staff wants to make sure that everything is perfect for each guest. Small menu with very high quality food and well executed presentation. Relaxing and cosy atmosphere. Matching wine list. Tough to resist the sea food options.

If you are in Samoens and you do not take a meal prepared by Boogie, you have missed a chance to have eaten some fantastic food. Last year Le Monde exceeded our expectations and this year, 23.01.2015, Boogie proved to us again what a fantastic cook he is!! As said last year "Chapeau Boogie" and thanks to your staff for... We knew before we booked that this was a serious restaurant who aimed to be well above average, you should also book ahead as it gets busy, its that kind of place and it lived up to expectations. I think its fair to say the chef is proud of his menu and the quality he sends out, this was borne... More

This place is a super little restaurant just off the main square in Samoens. The food is a combination of traditional Savoyarde dishes but softened with what I suppose is a "Euro-Asian" twist. Service was excellent and friendly. Will visit again next year PS Apologies to the couple hoping for a romantic meal - Charlie's jokes were quite funny! Top... More

Strong Japanese influence provided a welcome change to the usual (very rich) cheese and meat dominated menus in local eateries. Good sushi to start and a fast tuna dish as a main. Well worth a visit especially if you are looking for something a little different.

Great service, staff with a smile - even for les etranger! Menu covers a good selection from steak to venison, to fish keeping everyone happy. First course arrived in a timely manner - and remaining courses followed suit. Main course excellent - beautifully cooked venison with some imaginative accompaniments. Wine menu was equally well balanced, and we enjoyed a sound... More

Food was delicious but service was very slow indeed - 2 courses took over 2 hours. We had waited so long for the main course we had lost our appetites by the time it arrived. That said the food was excellent.

Le monde a l'envers is located in the very center of Samoens in a typical red house. The decor is unsual and well sought after, very warm and cosy. Food is good and well presented, we had the lunch menu. All the courses were served on one ardoise stone platter, innovative concept, but I guess helps a lot the chef... More
