went here with some pals - food was really not as good as i expected - do not have the seafood medley - deep fried bread crumbed scallops = smacked of iceland. the atmosphere was fine. the service ok. we still enjoyed the evening but i would not be able to whole-heartedly recommend it as a foodie pub. just average.

not been here for over 20 years and what a great surprise, traditional but contemporary in style with fantastic food and very welcoming service!

Dined here for the first time tonight, party of four adults. Very warm welcome on arrival, lovely atmosphere, plenty to choose from on the menu and specials at reasonable prices and the food didn't disappoint, every course delicious in fact! All with excellent service too. Can't believe we haven't been sooner, will definitely be back!

We had booked a family lunchtime celebration at The Lamb which did not start on a very good note. Despite a board outside the pub daily stating 'Now open from 11.00 am for morning coffee', when we were dropped off at 11.25 we were informed that we could wait in the garden until they opened at twelve it was not... staying in a cottage near the lamb we had dinner here on very good recommendations in the visitors book. service was excellent and staff friendly, but the atmosphere was not what we expected from a country pub. maybe there were too many lambs about. food ok but nothing to shout about, maybe we were expecting too much.

Had a very pleasant battered fish and chips with a pint of Jail Ale and if not busy might have taken part in the Sunday Night Quiz - clearly well regarded in the village and somewhere to return to when next in the area Adrian

We have eaten in many of Exeter's restaurants and have to say the food was excellent. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Just got back from lunch at the Lamb Inn. I had fish pie which was pretty average and quite dry but which I would have eaten had it not been for the bones. I tried four mouthfuls and each contained either large or fragmented bones - it was inedible. The waitresses were lovely and offered something else and I chose... More

I have eaten here many times and the food is consistently good. There is always a warm welcome. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. In my opinion this is one of the best places for a pub meal in the area. I just wish it was within walking distance!
