I've only just signed up on TripAdvisor, but the memory of the terrible lunch we had last year is fresh in the memory. The food arrived after only 90 seconds. Equally alarming was the lack of any cooking smell. I had one mouthful of the worst 'chicken' curry and hard rice I've ever had and my husband peered disappointedly into... More

Have been here for evening meals several times. Impressed that food is served hot and on hot plates. I require Gluten free as am Coeliac, they are always happy to let me know what food I can have. There is always a good selection. Very friendly staff.

We went to the Lamb Inn for a friends birthday . Nice place and well laid out eating area. Table nicely set. Friendly atmosphere.. However that changed when I badly burnt my mouth as I was not warned that my food would be that hot in temperature. I didn't like to make a fuss as it was a birthday celebration... More

We were travelling to the Chagford Show on August 21st and stopped for lunch at The Lamb Inn. Never been there before and stopped on the off chance. What a find; excellent food and service. Will definitely visit again when in Devon.

I don't know why we haven't reviewed the Lamb Inn before. It's one we go to quite regularly. We always get a good welcome, the food is of good quality and there is always a good selection. The drinks are well kept. The proprietors and staff are helpful and reliable and the service is good. Thursday is fish day. We... More

Took a family with 2 young children (under 5) and a puppy! We were gratefully received, warmly welcomed and perfectly accommodated... which was lovely as we had shown up half an hour late for our reservation. The food was lovely, with a great choice; including a Sunday Roast. Even better puddings- I'd recommend the Bread & Butter pudding any day... More

went here with some pals - food was really not as good as i expected - do not have the seafood medley - deep fried bread crumbed scallops = smacked of iceland. the atmosphere was fine. the service ok. we still enjoyed the evening but i would not be able to whole-heartedly recommend it as a foodie pub. just average.
