Lovely welcome. Lovely food

Had a great meal at this great restaurant. Staff were very friendly and then food was really good. Started with them French onion soup. Perfect, followed by a steak. 6 of us at their table, with wine worked out at approx 30 euros each. Thanks to their landlady at Sharks I fish bar who put us on to... read more

Having trailed around most Alpe D'Huez restaurants, this seemed to have the best value and most interesting set menu. It certainly lived up to expectations. 25 euros for three courses (or 22 for two). The goat's cheese salad and French onion soup were both excellent. We both had steak for main - and these were outstanding! The creme brulee was... More

The food was good but standard French Alpine cuisine, however, the service was really friendly. The kids really enjoyed the burger.

Sophisticated food in a very pleasant dinning area. Great starter, with a very good presentation (poached eggs). Main dish was phenomenally cooked (Thick Beef Steak) with home made french fries and an outstanding blue cheese sauce. And the icing on the cake was the dessert, chocolate cake in a Jar with melted chocolate in the centre. The best of all... More

After researching local restaurants in Alpe D'Huez, we looked at this one, after visiting it and seeing how busy and booked up it was we thought we were on to a winner so we got a reservation for the Friday Evening. After visiting other places in the week where service was poor and some staff even rude, this place was... More

The seven of of chose the 3 course dinner offered. The onion soup, paté an salmon as starters were all great. The tartar steak was the best we ever had-really ever! Sausage was wonderful and steaks great. Service and athmosphere as good as it gets. Book in advance.

Warm welcome, attentive service, tasty & authentic food and good prices! Really hard to find a good restaurant in such a touristy area. So cosy and friendly! I would definitely come back!! Feels like a locals restaurant rather than a tourist trap! I'm so happy I went!

We where here our first night in Alpe d'Huez and where so pleased with both food and service that we went back a second time and had Pirrad which is meat that you fry on a hot stone. Settings where good size and great taste. We where the only non French in a full but small cosy restaurant.

We received a very warm welcome. We enjoyed a three course meal which included one of their specialities which was called Rebloche au four du charbon du bois. This involved having a small wood fired oven placed on our table in order for us to melt our Reblochon cheese, to eat with the new potatoes and cold saucisson and dried... More

We visited this restaurant last week during a weeks holiday and on the chalet's night off. It was excellent great food, service was second to done and the restaurant was decorated in a traditional manner. We had the the 3 course set menu for 25euros and was worth it. Would highly recommend everyone who is staying Alpe D'Huez to try... More
