Still at the top

We have been again to our neighbor " Le Pirate" for lunch. Again, it is still full of fascination, creativity and consistency at its best, all at the same affordable prices. Bravo, you are still at the top of the carrier. Don't change.

Read many good reviews on tripadvisor that gave this restaurant amazing feedback, so I tried it. The ambiance is ok, it needs a big refresh. Food was good, a lot of interesting food items on the menu, many menus to chose from or a la carte. We chose a four course menu which had plenty to select from. The oysters... More

I took two friends here for a special treat after a long flight (this restaurant is very near to the airport). They're from the south of France, used to classy seafood places and not easy to please. They were delighted. The oysters were superb (Gilardeau ?) as were the main courses. Friendly waiters too. Not a place for fast service... More

It became a really excellent restaurant after the upgrading of its carte, menus & service & always at very reasonable prices (gastronomic lunch complete menu with 1/2 bottle of wine for only 38 Euros) The talented chef always checks on all his guests to make sure that every one is completely satisfied. I feel lucky to have such a neighbor... More

Just across the border in France (Fernay Voltaire) this was a great place to take business folks (mainly USA) to a typical french seafood resturant. Important at lunch to recognise this will be a slow process. Always several courses. BUT the food is first class and the waiters really want you to be happy with constant checks ........ Bottom line... More

We were a party of 8 celebrating a birthday. From the moment we arrived we had superb service at the very top level. The wonderful courses were interspersed with small gourmet tasting plates. All of the small touches were also present with keeping the table cleared between courses. The wine was excellent. We asked for a birthday cake for dessert... More

I can here first in 1978 and it seems to me that the restaurant was then located a bit closer to the border crossing with Switzerland. Not sure about this. The quality of cuisine and fish were excellent not to mention the lobster which you can have cooked however you like. Oysters very fresh. Service very good albeit that the... More

I ate here with a group of 9. The menu is long and varied. I chose one of the fixed price meals (select one dish from each of three categories, plus cheese course and dessert). I was very happy with all of my choices, which include a salmon trio, seafood casserole, and risotto. Service was attentive and they allowed us... More

It was very good to visit Le Pirate again after many years. The restaurant is very convenient for Geneva airport and there is parking nearby. We enjoyed the food and the excellent service. The bottle of St Veran we chose from the wine list was also very good. The layout of the restaurant has changed very little over the years... More
