La Lyriste sticks to what it does best which is offering traditional Provencal cooking in a perfectly nice (albeit not fancy) family based restaurant. This is pretty much Provence comfort food. The chalkboard changes daily and on our recent visit we had two great starters (a terrine and a rillette), and main courses of pigeon and pork joues (cheeks), and... More

Gracious welcome, quiet attentive service, delicious, interesting dishes. We were about to choose one of the higher priced wines, but when asked for a wine recommendation, Madame suggested a cheaper one as being a good match. it was perfect! A lovely option for a most pleasant evening out. We'll be back again!

I'm really surprised this restaurant is rating as highly as it is on Tripadvisor at the moment. The service was perfectly nice and the setting is quiet and pretty but the cooking skills weren't there for the gourmet style lunch menu we tried. I won't be tiresome with the details but it was a disappointing lunch for people who like... More

I've never had worse service. You know the stereotype of the French being very rude? Well this was perfectly exemplified by the server, who is also the owner. I would NEVER return to this place. My mom and I asked to split their three course special and she said that would be fine. Then left us at the table after... More

We were originally looking for L'Epicurien, but the map location of that TA rated restaurant is way off. We then looked for La Lyriste, which just happened to be a block behind our hotel, the Burrhus. We were fortunate there were one or two tables that weren't already reserved. The appetizer/salad was a suprising treat, salmon mousse in a large... More

This small restaurant is located on a street behind the noisier square restaurants. As noted in other reviews, the service and food were tops. There is a nice wine list but you don't need to spend alot of $ in Europe on big names to get good wine. Unlike the USA!!

We liked everything, but remember our dessert most. It was a caramel cake, similar to 'chocolate lava cake', but with caramel instead of chocolate. Exquisite. We made an early reservation and enjoyed our time here.

Each course of our dinner at this small family-run restaurant was inventive and perfectly prepared. The couple who own it are quiet and friendly, and we could tell that they take great pride in providing an excellent dining experience.

This is a small restaurant, but great service and outstanding food. We each had an entrée and a main, plus a bottle of wine and all were excellent. We would eat here again. Come early or have a reservation as the place was full 20 minutes after opening....says something for their quality

Everything we ate here was very good. Around this area restaurants can be expensive(and the dollar is weak), but we found this place to be very reasonable and worth every penny. We paid 19 euro per person for 3 courses menu. The ambiance was outstanding as was the staff. It's on a street off the main square so not too... More
