Beautiful bistro

We had lovely tomate & mozzarela and foie gras for starters, sea bass fillet perfectly cooked for main and the best tiramissu ever in a romantic atmosphere. A bit pricey but worth it. The waiter was a delight to interact with even with our very limited French. Will be back!

Our rented house was just down the street from Le Leonardo so an easy walk to dinner. We found it the first night we were in town and loved it. Food was excellent and service perfect. My clams with linguini were amazing and my husband was so delighted with his lasagna. The have an ala carte menu and a pre... More

I really cannot recommend Leonardos enough. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the warm, friendly and funny host. The atmosphere and ambiance in there was perfect, nice low lighting and a low murmur of other guests in a beautiful cosy but very tastefully presented restaurant. The FOOD ..WOW ...we asked the host for his recommendations and... More

We enjoyed this meal very much. It started out a little rough, with the waiter being impatient with my husband's unfamiliarity with the language and indecisiveness about his order, but once we overcame that things went quite well and eventually my husband and the waiter engaged in some conversation including some laughs. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was... More

Great food, good ambiance e.t.c. Booking recommended as very popular with the locals and tourists in the know alike. Wine list is a little limited considering it's location!

my girlfriend has lived in this area previously for years. She knows the proprietors and has dined there many times. We visited there for lunch and dinner on our recent visit. Always great service, always great food & wine. The best in Vaison. Each visit we had 4 or more diners. Better if you speak French. The chef/owner is Italian... More

In 2002, we happened upon Ristorante Leonardo in Vaison la Romaine by chance and have been coming back almost every year since. From the very first meal to our last visit yesterday evening, we have never been disappointed. Exquisite Italian and French cuisine and great local and Italian wines. The restaurant is small and intimate and the ambiance is always... More

We had dinner at Leonardo's in Vaison-La-Romaine on a busy evening in early August with a group of four men. We arrived without reservation and at first the maître said he was full, but he managed to squeeze us in before the reserved time (we had two hours, which was enough). The food and wine were very enjoyable and the... More

The description given by other visitors sums it up: the waitor seems to work annoyed (especially when you are no local or frequent visitot), meals were prepared with lots of oil. I had the lasange maison: to avoid, was clearly prebaked and hence burned on the side. Overall disappointing.

The food was excellent and reseached with talent... On my plate, it was delicious but : the service is terribly pretentious, if you are not a regular, you can be totally ignored, a feel very uncomfortable if you come with kids. The first time the waiter saw us (we have a 2 y.o. kid) at 11:30, we asked him to... More
