The food was excellent and reseached with talent... On my plate, it was delicious but : the service is terribly pretentious, if you are not a regular, you can be totally ignored, a feel very uncomfortable if you come with kids. The first time the waiter saw us (we have a 2 y.o. kid) at 11:30, we asked him to... More

We walked in & the maitre'd asked us if we had reservations. We did not, & it went downhill from there. We declined wine, since we had just completed a wine tasting, & we were again given a disapproving look. We do not speak French, so we asked for help in ordering a pasta dish, & there were only 2... We have had many delicious meals at Le Leonardo's; however, our lunch today was exceptional! I had, as my entrée, the Vitello Tonnato. The veal was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the sauce was just the right mix of flavors to enhance, but not overpower the delicate veal flavor. My wife had a grilled asparagus entrée with a sweet and tangy sauce,... More

This restaurant has great pretensions but failed to deliver as far as we were concerned. The maitre d' is a very odd fellow who is either very shy or very arrogant. We couldn't work put which. The food was OK but our main issue was that whatever we had was very oily. From the Salad that was sloshing in so... More

I had a nice meal with my wife here in lovely Vaison. Location is great. Food was good. my wife choose the pasta linguine which was excellent. I took the lamb, also good, but I could have eaten more. Prices are a bit on the high side. Very nice starter and desert. I would recommend. Service was good except they... More

have you had food so good you'd cry? that was the experience I had when I went here. the atmosphere setting was an intimate one and the maitre'd is warm and friendly. the chef, who reminds me of John Galliano, is an artist. the dish St Jacques Poelees au Vinaigre Balsamique is exquisite and a must try as the appetizer.... Really very good Italian food, but service only just what it should be, considering the prices. The maitre d' can be very moody, warm and welcoming one day and cranky the next. And we found the prices truly exhorbitant. So we have stopped going there, even though we live near.

I like everything about this place, the setting, decor, food, wine and service. Nothing to complain about - prices just about ok too. Book ahead in busy times.

Two hosts, real italian ambiance, but most of all: very good italian food. don't go there if you expect pizza's, don't go there for a pasta with your kids. make a reservation for an excellent italian romantic experience with your partner! we've been clients for years and they never disappointed us. when you expect a "low priced french menu", you...
