Tucked away down a side street

We've been coming to Vaison for years but never stopped for a meal at this restaurant before. We were just about to walk past when I spotted the menu which looked really interesting. This has to be the BEST meal my husband & I have eaten ever in France, (we have visited France for many years) We chose this restaurant after reading the many good reviews and we were not disappointed. The husband and wife who own and run the restaurant are a unique team. Not only do they provide outstanding service but... More

After walking past the square, which was full of very generic restaurants,we stumbled into Le Bonheur. What a great surprise and what a treat. The steak tartare was easily the best I've ever had (and I've had it many times, including a disappointing version a few days later in Cannes). The salad was fresh and dressed to perfection. If Le... We had a wonderful relaxed afternoon at this chilled restaurant. The waiter was very helpful and spoke excellent English (which is very rare in town). Baked cheese salad to start was exquisite, followed by a Thai king prawn rice noodle salad (outstanding) & a vibrant tomato and serrano ham salad (carefully put together). The desserts were also remarkable; a chocolate... More

Let the owners guide you in your choice of food and wine... their wine cellar is impressive and their ability to choose the right bottle for you even more so!

Kind of cool and funky with a seasonal menu that celebrates local products. Really enjoyable food, excellent service. Short but well thought out wine list.

We found this place on a rainy day out of sheer luck. After a rainy drive up from Avignon we decided to stop for lunch. We avoided the main square and wandered a few streets back and found this place. The food is excellent, very honest and has been a highlight of our trip so far. I had a beautiful... More

First the good thing: the food is not bad at all. And they serve lots of different wines by the glass. At okay prices. So why do they spoil it all with the rudest service ever? The lady of the house sure dislikes her customers - to put it mildly. My Happiness will follow another path! (For non French speakers:... More

A great small restaurant with excellent food and a huge and fairly priced wine selection. We started with an aperitif of one house white wine and one rose. Both were organic and sulfite free... and both were excellent! The menu was fresh, carefully thought out, and was obviously cooked by someone who cares about excellence. We asked the host to... We visited with the proprietors of a local organic winery who we do business with. Xavier is clearly a passionate chef who believes in fine, healthy food. All ingredients are locally sourced organic. We started with a sensational pate, then we had confit duck which was equally fantastic. The best bit for us though was the excellent selection of local... More
