Professional and good quality, but not as warm or home-style as I prefer.

The food was good quality, but small portions and high prices. The view was surprisingly nice hugging a small cliff over the river, facing old town. The staff was professional but not really warm. I was more comfortable in La Lyriste a few blocks away as it was family-owned, more traditional... read more

Good service, modern restaurant, Spanish cuisine. Food was not outstanding but good. Starters were great while fish for my main were too salty and over cooked. 10 for presentation, 6-8 depending on a dish for taste

One of the best meals we had in France. The 35 Euro menu is superb and very good value. Each course is fresh and delicious and just the right size. The wine is good and very reasonably priced. Would recommend Le Bateleur to anyone visiting Vaison Le Romaine.

My wife and I had lunch at Le Bateleur twice during our week stay in Vaison-la-Romaine and absolutely loved it. A husband and wife team of Adriana and Nicolas own and run the small and very elegant restaurant just downstream from the Roman Bridge. They are talented and gracious and make one welcome from beginning to end of the dining... More

We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish at Le Bateleur. The service was welcoming, watchful and excellent. The food was even better! From the "Amuse-bouche" to the dessert, the preparation, the presentations, the flavors and the wine choices made for a wonderful dining experience. The entrée was asparagus - some cooked, some raw - with thin slices... More

We arrived as a group of four at this restaurant for a late lunch on Market day in this pretty town, we have never been to the restaurant or the town before but we would happily return to both. LE BATELEUR is a really elegant restaurant with very friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel... More

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B host. We are a family of 5 and we arrived quite late. The restaurant staff was warm and welcoming. They brought my 9-year-old pasta with butter, which was appreciated. My middle son had a fish dish that was one of my favorite things I've ever tasted at a restaurant! The food was excellent,... We were four Danes on vacation in France. We had booked rooms at "Le Moulin a Huile" in Vaison-la-Romaine. We looked forward to eat at their famous restaurant but found out that the restaurant was closed until April 15. We then asked Madame Sabine Bardot if she could recommend a good restaurant near by. She was very kind and asked... More

My brother, his wife and my husband navigated with our English speaking GPS to find this off the beaten path restaurant. It was recommended to us by another restaurant chef/owner who was closed that day for lunch. Thank you Christophe Bonzi! From the moment I tasted the demi tasse of Creme de Cepe I knew I was going to be... More
