My brother, his wife and my husband navigated with our English speaking GPS to find this off the beaten path restaurant. It was recommended to us by another restaurant chef/owner who was closed that day for lunch. Thank you Christophe Bonzi! From the moment I tasted the demi tasse of Creme de Cepe I knew I was going to be... More

This small, family-owned restaurant was the ideal way to start our holiday n France this October (2014). Every item was served at exactly the right pace. I especially enjoyed the convivial service and local wine suggestion (with directions on how to find the winery the next day). The location is steps from the old Roman bridge.

Our family was here to celebratie the birthday of me and my sister. The food was great. Disapoointment that they were out of lam, but they had nice replacements. Also nice for our daughter. They had a child seat, menu enfants and also gave here the amuses we had from the house. Only two tables at the window with a... More

The dishes are beautiful and delicious, dessert was fantastic. The room is nicely decorated and the service is great. The main course could be a little better served, but the full menu was sufficient.

We had dinner at Le Bateleur on our last night in Vaison la Romaine. The meal was excellent and the service perfect. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the warm spring evening. A definite must for people looking for a great place to dine.

We were there during our last stay in Vaison. If you have a table near the window you enjoy the view over the river and old town. Compared to other Restaurants in an around Vaison the food and service were not up to the expectations. After 40 minutes we still did not have our aperitif although the Restaurant was not... More

My husband & I were excited about trying this restaurant & the meal started out great. The salad with fresh herbs & the homemade rolls were amazing. The restaurant is very romantic. The waitress was lovely, & we needed her help in ordering since the entire menu was in French. She suggested the pork. We received a fillet of grizzle.... More

To say that Le Bateleur would be a top French restaurant in any city in America does not do it justice: This restaurant could draw diners from miles around, and at two or three times the price. If you are in the Vaison area, you should go out of your way to visit. My wife and I had an absolutely... More
