Charming and authentic

Our concierge sent us to the Cabane Bamboo or something, in spite of his having said he called to make us a reso (thanks Villa Maria - do Not stay there!) it was closed, so we found this place. I was here with my husband and parents. My Mom and I loved it - our husbands thought it was tacky.... read more

Everything was perfect. They were busy, but the service was very attentive. The moules were excellent ad was the calamari. I would love to go back in the summer, at night, to try other dishes....I loved this place!

We simply have to visit this place every summer even though it is a 1.5hr round trip. The food is always tasty and we opt for a wide array of tapas style and have to include the yummy Moules with all the flavour choices. We start with a glass of champagne served on the beach and enjoy the stunning views.... More

Being in Provence allways claims a visit to the charming l'Esquinade on the Pampelonne beaches. The service is professional, but so very friendly. The food is homemade and very tasteful. The restaurant is located on the beach, close to the sea, where the waiters bring you the rest of your wine/beer/water after a good meal, relaxing under the sun beds... More

We visit this beach restaurant on every visit to this area even though it means a 50-minute drive in high season. The venue is shaped like a boat with a Norwegian flag with a pirate theme. Specialties include mussels in over ten possible sauces. Also a coal BBQ of fresh fish and meats. We had a very juicy entrecôte of... More

We have been coming to this quirky place for over 10 years. It never changes, but is a change from the pretentious and over priced food and drink that many other beach restaurants offer. The family are always welcoming and pleasant. The food is not complex but good. I love the escargot as my entree. They have a good charcoal... More

I love this place which is worth coming to for the atmosphere alone. You are virtually on the beach with your feet in the sand and its so nice to find somewhere in this area which doesn't have even a hint of pretentiousness. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. Fabulous mussels and sardines and all the fish... More

We've been returning here every year, visit nearly daily when we're 'beaching', had the chance to try out quite a few 'daily choices' from the menu .... Food can sometimes be 'hit and miss', usually the salads are 'pretty fine', but overall we 'hit more than missed' with our choices.... and the house rose' really 'hits the spot'...:-) We'll still... We were four people for lunch. We all had different types of moules (13,50€) with fries (3 €) I tried the moules aiôli, and its probably the best moules I have ever tasted!! The house rosé was a bargain (17,50€) It was my first time at this cosy "pirate"-place, and I will for sure return.
