Being in Provence allways claims a visit to the charming l'Esquinade on the Pampelonne beaches. The service is professional, but so very friendly. The food is homemade and very tasteful. The restaurant is located on the beach, close to the sea, where the waiters bring you the rest of your wine/beer/water after a good meal, relaxing under the sun beds... More

We visit this beach restaurant on every visit to this area even though it means a 50-minute drive in high season. The venue is shaped like a boat with a Norwegian flag with a pirate theme. Specialties include mussels in over ten possible sauces. Also a coal BBQ of fresh fish and meats. We had a very juicy entrecôte of... More

We have been coming to this quirky place for over 10 years. It never changes, but is a change from the pretentious and over priced food and drink that many other beach restaurants offer. The family are always welcoming and pleasant. The food is not complex but good. I love the escargot as my entree. They have a good charcoal... More

I love this place which is worth coming to for the atmosphere alone. You are virtually on the beach with your feet in the sand and its so nice to find somewhere in this area which doesn't have even a hint of pretentiousness. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. Fabulous mussels and sardines and all the fish... More

We've been returning here every year, visit nearly daily when we're 'beaching', had the chance to try out quite a few 'daily choices' from the menu .... Food can sometimes be 'hit and miss', usually the salads are 'pretty fine', but overall we 'hit more than missed' with our choices.... and the house rose' really 'hits the spot'...:-) We'll still... We were four people for lunch. We all had different types of moules (13,50€) with fries (3 €) I tried the moules aiôli, and its probably the best moules I have ever tasted!! The house rosé was a bargain (17,50€) It was my first time at this cosy "pirate"-place, and I will for sure return.

Sorry but lunch in a boat on the beach may seem fun for the kids, but apart from that excitement it dreary average food and back average food at the wrong price ! Kids I feel also that the food is so so !

My absolute favorite on La Bonne Terasse. Best moules around and a good choice of dishes. But best of all is the fabulous welcome from everyone. Rustique and hearty. So nice to sit by the sea and listen to the waves hit the sand. But it is also a place where it is easy to talk and make new friends.

Fantastic "pirate style" restaurant right on the beach. You can eat on the deck feet from the sea or go inside to an aladins cave of nautical memorabilia. We chose the deck for a late lunch although it was a little breezy and enjoyed excellent grilled sardines washed down with local rose wine. Happy service and good value in an... More

Certainly one for the wild life. While we were eating our lunch we were visited by sparrows on the table and chairs only two feet away. A cute scruffy dog call 'Mango' who constantly put his head on your knee looking up for scraps and a mouse running along the boardwalk. Food good and well worth a visit. Will be... More
