Sorry but lunch in a boat on the beach may seem fun for the kids, but apart from that excitement it dreary average food and back average food at the wrong price ! Kids I feel also that the food is so so !

My absolute favorite on La Bonne Terasse. Best moules around and a good choice of dishes. But best of all is the fabulous welcome from everyone. Rustique and hearty. So nice to sit by the sea and listen to the waves hit the sand. But it is also a place where it is easy to talk and make new friends.

Fantastic "pirate style" restaurant right on the beach. You can eat on the deck feet from the sea or go inside to an aladins cave of nautical memorabilia. We chose the deck for a late lunch although it was a little breezy and enjoyed excellent grilled sardines washed down with local rose wine. Happy service and good value in an... More

Certainly one for the wild life. While we were eating our lunch we were visited by sparrows on the table and chairs only two feet away. A cute scruffy dog call 'Mango' who constantly put his head on your knee looking up for scraps and a mouse running along the boardwalk. Food good and well worth a visit. Will be... More

Just by chance we stumbled upon this beach restaurant, only to realise this is the place we'd heard about. The owner Edna Falao is a grand old lady, former speedway champion and celebrity and she serves the most wonderful and affordable moules in several variants. I can't really tell you much about the rest of the menu, except that the... More

We've lunched here several times, enjoying the great 'on-the -beach' boardwalk setting yet enjoying (for this part of the world!) affordable food.Yes, it's 3/4 euros more than inland places but the situation is really worth it. Moules frites (various ways) around 15 euros;ice creams 6/7 euros.Ok not cheap but nowhere is here. And it's such a holiday-happy atmosphere with friendly staff... More

If you want an affordable restaurant (lunch or dinner), in a pleasant beach-shack style, with wonderful service - this is the place to go. It's a little difficult to find - but worth the trip. (From Ramatuelle, take Route des Plages. After the roundabout below Ramatuelle turn right onto Phare de Camarat and follow signs for L’Esquinade. Situated right by... More

Most of the restaurants on Pampelonne beach , like St Trop, are overpriced and catering to 'poseurs' with more money than sense ... luckily, l'Esquinade breaks this 'curse', and instead aims for the 'sensible regulars', by giving a simple limited-choice menu, and a blackboard of daily 'specials'... Mussels are a 'speciality', done a dozen ways, a large pot for under... More
