Simply excellent

Once we checked in the hotel after our arrival in La Fossette in the evening, we took a short walk to check the restaurant out, realising there were little chances for us to be sat down without a reservation at 8:30 in the evening. Location: a Little village outside Le Lavandou, Lovely veranda Service very good, The atmosphere would be even nicer when the very ambitious and hard-working hostess will relax and stop stressing her staff in front of customers. The Wood is simply delicious. The portions could be smaller , it would be easier to go through the menu. a little expensive maybe.

Last time I was there was 4 years ago / and that meal is well imprinted in my mind. A small out of the way place, but well worth the winding roads up there.

Fantastic fixed prix menu. Waiters were gracious and spoke English. Didn't make us feel terrible if we didn't catch all of the French or had questions despite us trying. We came in accidentally after the beach in swimsuits and they still seated us outside, even though we were admittedly under dressed. Nice meal but absolutely worth it. This would be... More

Been there three times already over two trips to the Lavandou; a must go for everyone who likes tasty and beautiful mediterranean food. The restaurant is owned by the chef Anthony Lopez and his wife who works there as a hostess too, and welcomes clients. She speaks english and German and is super nice and up-beat. Anthony is a very... More

Saturday evening and the place was buzzing. The dining room was full, overflow tent across the road was busy too. The well-drilled staff work very hard and the service is very efficient. We both had the €38 2-choice menu which comes with plenty of surprise extras, before and after. Starters were a terrine of loup or an aubergine construction -... More

We spend most holidays in Bormes and have done for 20 years. We often frequent la farigoulette and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite eateries in the area. It's off the main strip of town, up in la fossette. It's a chilled out relaxing restaurant where the family owners are always welcoming and friendly, even when we... More
