Perfect lunch by the sea

thus is my third time at Nino's in the last several years. Always for lunch and never disappointed. It is a tad "touristy" right olongapo the boardwalk by the sea, but it is gorgeous location and I would go back again and again? The food is all very well done, but the specialty that I love is the... read more

I shall hold the memory of this delightful lunch for a long time to come and reflect upon it when I need to restore my sense of wellbeing and joy. A perfect location to watch the world go by in this beautiful port with its bobbing boats, sun-kissed beach and all variety of happy tourists wandering back and forth along... More

We made a day trip out from Aix into Cassis. Cassis is such a beautiful seaside town. We read a lot about bouillabaisse before our visit, so was really looking forward to try that. It was a beautiful afternoon, so when we went to Nino, it was almost packed. But we managed to get the last table. The service was... More

Having raved about Nino in the past, I took 2 friends for lunch there and the food was a big let down. I had to send my starter back as it was cold - having been told to be careful as it was hot. My friend's fish was under cooked and my side dish of potatoes were burned. I have... More

For years I have been looking for the 'perfect' bouillabaisse like I have been looking for the 'perfect' blue blazer that does not wrinkle on long flights. I have yet to find the blazer but I believe my prayer was answered at Nino's on the coast of Cassis in France. A coupe of years ago we were in Marseille, reputed... More

staff were polite, good fresh fish, amazing harbour view... definitely overpriced, though. 5 year old son and daughter were locked in the toilet for 25 minutes as the lock fell off the door, slight disappointment..!

I had read so much about this spot, that I was very excited about trying what was ranked as the top bouillabaisse around. My husband and I started with the Provencal Mussels that I can't rave enough about. They were delicious. Then came the bouillabaisse, which was very disappointing. I was expecting a variety of seafood in the broth. It... More

Nino has a great atmosphere, to start with, is right on the Port of Cassis. We were 4 people and we all agreed that our 3 different types of fish were extremely fresh with lovely sauces. Dessert was exceptional! worth a try!

Four of us had lunch at Nino on the recommendation of our tour guide (he thought we might enjoy it since we're of Italian descent and the owner is also). Not. He was quite rude. Whether we spoke in English or his native Italian, his response was always in French. But that was not the worst of the abuse....and, it... More

The Nino in Cassis has more to offer than just excellent food. The host and owner of the Nino, Bruno Brezzo, has during the last few years acquired a few Cassis townhouses and apartments adjacent to the main Nino building and decorated three beautiful and spacious guest rooms/suites. All done in a tasteful setting with application of wood materials in... More
