just ok

I went here because mussels and chips were very cheap but I cans say that the food was just ok. My girlfriend had a dish with salad and was terrible. So I think: if you want mussels at a very cheap price go here but don't expect nothing great. ;)

We had a good meal a this place. The place was very busy (early afternoon in August) but we were served in a reasonable time. The restaurant is right on the harbour and you can watch boats, people, cars and motorcycles jockey for position. We had the "marmite du pecheur" and "salade italienne" both washed down with beer. The fish... More

Selected this restaurant out of many overpriced ones in Cassis because of its view. Whole experience was miserable. It was 4:00 pm on a weekday and there were 4 waiters and about 4 tables. Service was slow, waiters insolent and lazy. I had a mediocre overcooked pasta with what was supposed to be a vegetable sauce - where were the... More

We sat inside as there was a 65kmh wind outside. The staff were friendly and were ok with our limited French. The food was delivered quickly. The battered calamari maybe had a bit too much batter, but was still crunchy and the calamari tender. Had the seafood soup for mains. It was very nice with good chunks of fish, prawns,... More

I wish I read some reviews before we went to this place. The service is bad! They weren't overall friendly, just did their job, poorly... They gave us wine when we asked twice for it but forgot wine glasses and were surprised when we asked for them. Yeah, quel surprise! Then they gave us complimentary tap water that we didn't... More

We came to eat on Sunday evening and the inviting terrasse made us choose it, also comparing prices to the other venues in the harbor area. The fish and the sépia were fresh, but the portion of the fish was so small that even my wife - who does not eat much - remained hungry. Salad was just a very... More

We only stopped for coffee, so can't comment on the food served! It is relatively lose to the beach area so this convenient. It does have free wifi which is very useful!

Dined at this restaurant recently and my partner was served a bowl of mussels that were a definite health risk. Many were separate from the shell, many were over-cooked to small blackened pieces of rubbery material unrecognizable from a mussel at all. When this was politely pointed out to the manager, my partner was treated to a torrent of abusive... More

I am French and went to eat there with my husband one night while visiting Cassis. Our order went missing. We waited 1h30 for our food to be served. They had to send the order again after we complained we still hadn't be served and the neighbouring tables had come and gone. I'll just add here that I am 7... More

Well, I don't really know how we ended up there, but on a March Monday night many restaurants are closed. The fish soup, Marmite du Pecheur was one of the worst things I've ever tasted. The Moules Frites were just a bit better. Luckily the local white wine was okay but after three nights in Cassis we wont return for... More
