Dinner, June 2015

Tucked away from the tourist crowds, quiet location with nice ambiance. Great food and and good service. The owner speaks English and was very kind. Recommend you spend your money here and not at the tourist trap on the water.

We made an effort to eat here but were turned away the first time because we had not booked a table. Ok, so we call in a couple of days and try to book but are told no English is understood so between my wife and myself we express our desire in French grammar at best deserving a grade of... More

I don't normally post bad reviews anywhere - I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but tourists should be wary of Calendal. First, the fish soup was completely disappointing. It had absolutely no flavor and no fish. I've had soupe de poisson at several different places in France and this was the worst. Flavorless broth served with... More

Soupe is world class, great fresh fish, magret, deserts. Owner and wife are helpful and charming, mainly a spot locals gravitate too.

Very fun to eat at and great meal. The owner and his wife friendly and want to make sure you enjoy yourself. The soupe de poisson is the best in town in my opinion. A must try! The menu is a great option as can get the soup followed by duck(my choice) or fish and delicious homemade chocolate mousse all... More

Fish, fish, fish, fresh, fresh, fresh, wonderful, orgasmic food experience. Small magical eatery, run by a fantastic family, English is spoken for those of you who wonder! That says it all! Now run don't walk... For those of you who do not like fish, this is not the place for you!

The host gave us a nice table outside as we had reserved. However he was so busy browbeating his waitstaff and rushing about that we were largely on our own navigating the menus. The vegetable dishes were wonderful. My wife asked that her shrimp be pealed, but the shrimp came overcooked and in the shell. I had the boullibaise which... More

We had an amazingly delicious dinner here! The food was so fresh, looked perfect on the plates and tasted heavenly! When only one of us ordered the starter, the other one got an amuse bouche on the house, to stay 'entertained':) The profiterol was the best I had in my life! and I've been to a fair share of restaurants.... This is my favorite restaurant of all time - I will keep on going back there every chance I get. I last went there for a romantic evening, but I had been there for family meals before. Each time, the service was AWESOME. Exquisite food - a delight for the fussiest of tastebuds. Creative cuisine: there are dishes here you... More
