Enjoyable evening overlooking the harbor

On our first evening in Cassis, we chose to dine at Le Grand Bleu, based on a recommendation from our Hosts. We sat down around 7pm, and were the 2nd table to be seated. The crowds followed shortly after. We were greeted warmly, and served promptly and efficiently. We had a variety of food... read more

We had a tiring day today so just wanted a main course as my wife was not hungry. We both chose veal, mine a la Milanese and my better half's with cream and mushroom sauce. Both were well cooked with excellent vegetables and crusty bread to accompany. I couldn't resist a tart tatin with ice cream and cream and our... More

If you are visiting Cassis for the first time and don't plan on returning soon then this spot is a good choice as are many of the dining options right in the port. You can expect standard French options for this seaside town. The fish is fresh and they will give you the option of deboning it as will most... More

Came for lunch, we had octopus (13 euros) and mussels (8 euros) as starters; mains of sole fish (34 euros) and sea bream (26 euros). They offered to debone our fish which was very welcomed. Tasty food, my wife’s fish looked a little over cooked. Friendly attentive staff who speak good English, sat outside under very large umbrellas watching people... More

We had a lovely dinner at the grand blue yesterday evening, nicely located in the old harbour. Friendly staff, good quality (great variety of fish). nice portions, overall good value for money, although for some dishes maybe a bit 'overpriced' for what you get (fish soap not what we expected).

A return visit to Cassis after many years was rewarded by simple parking and a lovely light lunch. We fancied a salad and picked this restaurant because it had a nice range and everyone eating on the shady terrace seemed to have fresh and attractive 'plates'. We would recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely dinner next to the harbour with excellent fish and wines. We had gratinated mussels, fresh fish and it was all very nice.

My mistake for ordering an entrocote in a sea front resturant. Ribeye on the menu but received something else. Flat, flavourless and with a flour tasting pepper sauce. Salad of goats cheese was very good as well as the fish from my partner. I would not visit again, but try a resturant that can get the entire menu right.
