the restaurant looks very nice, you can sit outdoor directly at the port or inside (2 floors). the staff is very friendly and we were served quite fast. we had escalopes (veal filets) and a goat cheese salad, finished with a superbe dessert (hot chocolate cake with icecream), everything was amazing. definitely a place to visit when you are in... We decided on this restaurant for my daughter's birthday meal having read the reviews and was delighted to find they are true. The setting was perfect, the castle illuminated behind us, the boats bobbing in the harbour, the ambience of the port enveloping us and then the food - delicious and imaginative with subtle unusual side dishes to accompany our... We've been there for lunch (2 ppl/90 EUR). Fish soup is excellent and waiter friendly advised me how to eat it. Rose wine (glass) paired nicely with fish. Creme bruelee was the last dish - big one. You can sit inside or outside.

Visited this restaurant based on Trip Advisor ratings and were not disappointed. Great food and fabulous location with views of the Marina. It's not the largest of restaurants, but not cramped. We sat outside in the shade and enjoyed watching the world go by, but there are as many tables indoors with the benefit of air conditioning. Menu has a... More

We had lunch here on the recommendaton of other trip advisor reviewerds. We were looking for a place to eat on the waterfront in Cassis that was not touristy and not studidly expensive - we found it. Le Grand Blue is a fantastic seafood restaurant were the locals go. We shared gratined mussells which we followed with stuffed whole squid... More

In a chic setting, in the small coastal town of Cassis, overlooking the Marina, lies this small elegant restaurant. Everything we tried was very good. The veal in mushroom sauce, the fish, the duck, the seafood salad. Even the starter we had mussels gratine. Was great. The deserts also excellent, chocolate fondant with ice cream, and creme brulee. The quantities... More

The seafront in Cassis is one long string of restaurants, all fairly attractive looking but - hardly surprising - all very much targeting tourists. We took an approach we often do and asked the owner of a shop where *he* would go if he wanted to avoid low quality touristy food, and this was where he suggested. It's smallish, the... More

An evening in november on a terrace in Cassis. We choose the menu of 28 euro. A good choice. And the service is friendly and efficient.

This place takes its fish seriously. It was a great meal especially considering the surrounding places, which have equally nice harbor views but horrible food, at least based on the limited sampling we did. Service was even reasonably quick (for France).
