If you want a good value simply prepared lunch then look no further than the 18 euro menu. Attentive service and a complimentary digestif make this a bargain on this expensive coastline. There seemed to be a few regulars being warmly greeted by the owner which is usually a good sign.

The owner was lovely and very attentive which created a truly welcoming atmosphere. The food was also good, although portions could've been slightly larger.

Don't be tempted by the tasteless, touristic restaurants along the harbor. Your patience to seek out this little restaurant will be rewarded. Based on positive reviews on Trip Advisor and Fodors, my husband and I and our two adult sons went in search of Restaurant Le Bonaparte for lunch on a Saturday at the end of May. We walked by... We consulted Trip Advisor before our trip to Cassis and settled for this restaurant for lunch. We had the choice of 13.50 euro plat du Jour or for 18 euro's an extra course and more choice. The 18 Euro menu was excellent, the restaurant was completely full despite it only being 20 degrees and in the shade. Jean Marie looked... More

This was a great little place to stop for lunch on a cold, very windy day. There was no one outside as it as far too windy so everyone was inside which made it nice and warm. Service was good, appreciated that the owner came and spoke to everyone, food was OK, fish soup was served with bowls of gruyère,... More

We went there 5 times on our latest trip. Jean Marie is still the same but the food was a bit hit and miss. Three meals were up to the usual standard while on the other two the food was not up to par. I blame it on the end of the tourist season and people being tired after a... More

owner makes the restaurant!!! He is everywhere at once. The food is quite good the atmosphere electric and the people happy! It is situated on a side street with the tables tumbling out the front and onto the street. Everyone is treated well and you can tell by the reserved signs he has a constant return clientele. We have been... More

We ate there two nights in a row. The owner more than made up for his two sullen waiters, a young woman and a man. He was warm, convivial and attentive. The food was excellent. The fish soup is a meal in itself almost. We just wanted to eat mostly grilled fish while vacationing and they served it very tasty... More

Stumbled across this place today. We had a lovely lunch. Its busy and the staff are really nice. They do a great lunch for €13- plat de jour, dessert and a coffee. Seems locals eat here, so thats a good sign. Definitely go back

The restaurant should get a rating somewhere between average and very good. The fish soup for lunch was excellent. The plat de jour of cod was not good at all. The service was prompt, the waiters welcoming and congenial. Deserts were fine. they gave us cognac and cassis after dessert. Maybe my main course was just off. I'd give the... More
