Good affordable lunch

This restaurant provided excellent value with a two course plat du jour lunch for 13.50. Friendly and prompt service, we ate on the 1st floor terrace. Most of the clientele appeared to be local. There was a good varied a la carte menu obviously more expensive an extensive wine list. I will... read more

Situated within easy reach of many other resturants you would think that they would fight for your custom. There is plenty of seating outside either under canopies or the natural shade of the trees. You can sit inside but most people sit outside if the weather is warm. The tables are the standard 2 seater with OK chairs. The menu... More

I found it charming to be in a place with some original and pleasing decor. Nibbles and amuse bouche were served before our chosen meal which seemed a generous and enjoyable touch. The food was beautifully served and presented, perfectly cooked and good. The wines were a bit expensive but very good and something cheap would have lessened the experience.... More

To celebrate my wife's birthday, I took her here for lunch. Every aspect was excellent - decor, ambience, service, menu, wine and the food. Ohhh, the food. France sets higher standards than England for food, but here, it surpasses all expectations.

We had dinner at this restaurant with my husband. The restaurant was full. We took the menu, the food was good but the dessert was really funky, I guess I made the wrong choice. The service was nice, and everybody was helpful. It was a little expensive.

On holiday nearby and keen to have a 'special' meal for my birthday we came across this restaurant after already scanning the seemingly numerous 'run of the mill' restaurants down the main drag in Niort. Although we hadn't booked we got a table no problem. Service staff were courteous and efficient. Decor inside was stylish and distinctive. We decided to... More

Several restaurants being closed on this bank holiday, we tried this restaurant, which seemed to have a good menu posted by the door. A bit uneasy after the latest reviews on Tripadvisor we entered. The decor is a bit quirky and boudoir style. We ordered from the set menus. Unfortunately the lobster menu depends on day fresh delivery and that... More

My partner and I visited the restuarant last night and I have to say the expereince was one I would not want to expereince again. I chose a simple salad after a long journey ,which turned out to be completely lacking in taste, the produce had no flavour and the lettuce was brown where it had been cut and left... More

really a "hot spot" in niort. Everything was finde, except our waiter was VERY arrogant. didn't care at all (maybe he knows tourists won't come back, or whatever). The other staff looked more helpful and friendly. Make early reservation to sit upstairs!

Had a set menu for 19 Euro which was excellent, beautifully presented in very stylish surroundings. Best food i had in France all week. The only tiny grumble would be they could have left a little more time between courses.
