we had diner here recently. We choose the 50 Euro shared steak - unbelievable. Beautifully cooked, sliced and served on two plates with accompaniments. Desert was just as good - I've never had a soufflé so good. Service A1

We ate at this restaurant on advice of our B&B Chateau de la Plante. Easy to find in the city center, high quality food for a reasonable price. Service was ok.

Lunch was carpaccio de boeuf and main was pave du saumon. Both dishes were top notch, beautiful ingredients, beautifully presented, real professional French style service from career guys who care about the food and dining experience. Lunch in Southern France as it should be.

Strolling around looking for dinner, this was the obvious stop. Unsmiling, coldly-efficient, passively xenophobic waiter showed us to a decent al fresco table. Ris de Veau on the specials obviously got my nod at which our new chum's attitude softened slightly. Ordering of a proper bottle of localish wine further challenged his deeply held views of les etrangers. By the... More

Arrived after a long trip down from Le Havre was recommended by our B&B and we were not disappointed. Good atmosphere, excellent food and great service. I had a fab steak and my had pigeon which was lovely. The soufflé was gorgeous :-) We booked a table for next Saturday on our return to the UK from the south.

This is the restaurant with the big wooden cockerel in it. The feature of this place is the rotisserie although everything I've had there in the past has been top notch except one steak that was disappointing. Service is excellent and the food is traditional no-nonsense hearty French grub served in good sized portions.

Excellent restaurant. Food and service first class. Owner works the rotisserie and checks all the food on the " passé" before it gets to the table. Staff very attentive. We had the 24 euro menu and a bottle of Saumur blanc. We have booked for Saturday.

3 generation family meal - lunchtime Saturday on hot June day. We all very much enjoyed the 17 euros per head menu of the day. Good value, delicious, not run of mill. 3 choices for each course, all seasonal & cooked to order, washed down with very drinkable cold pichet of rose wine Attentive service in comfortable, spacious surroundings, good...
