Only here because of travel woes, but when the concierge recommended it we took her word. Very busy for a reason... The food is fresh and served well. It has a slightly basic bistro feel, though it's done really well. My husband's moule parisien was outstanding as was my rum baba. As it stands the place is raggy around the... More

On a street where there are several similar restaurants, I would have thought they would be more welcoming. We were barely acknowledged and we had to seat ourselves. Service was slow and the waiters did not seem to acknowledge our presence considering there was 5 of us. I was considering getting up and leaving until a different and pleasant waiter... More

My wife and I ate here recently, having had a less than great experience in another restaurant the evening before. We had noticed it was packed on the evenings we had passed it and that there were a lot of locals inside. Eat where the locals go... Both our meals were excellent and the service was good humoured and attentive... More

This restaurant looked nice from the outside and we chose to go upstairs rather than downstairs. It looked more like a cafe downstairs. As Calais is popular for fish, I chose mussels. It was an enormous portion and I struggled to finish it, the accompanying frites were not very nice. The service was good and the surroundings were pleasant but... More

We stopped for an evening meal. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is lovely! Worth every penny! Would visit again!

Quick service and they serve meals till late. The mussel were excellent and one serving would have been more than enough for two people.

An extremely oily, low bread content but ok 'Welsh' and a non slow cooked huge tasty enough Tartiflette. With a couple of beers and 1/2 bottle white 50 euro. Traditional Brassiere feel and helpful service. A safe choice but no doubt you can do better for the price.

We used to eat lunch and sometimes dinner here on a fairly regular basis. On our most recent visit we noticed that whilst the food is still quite pleasing, the portions are now quite a bit smaller, and that the staff are now not as friendly as they were before. In fact they gave us the impression that they thought... More
