We arrived nearly half an hour early on a cold blustery day just before Christmas - no problem to the restaurant which was full, including an office party of about 20 people (anglo-french company by the sounds of it - happy but not rowdy) so we were concerned that service would be slow or the staff distracted. But service was... More

We each had three courses from the 30 euro menu which included 2 free dishes , starting with red cabbage soup with cheese mousse which was surprisingly acceptable, the escargot starter included a lot of extras, a deep fried pastry base, salami and mushrooms, foam. The most interesting was perhaps the macron desert which had lemon sorbet, mint, grapefruit, vanilla... More

We arrived at 2pm on a Tuesday and we're told we could eat but no starters. Despite that they did bring a delicious foamy mushroom soup/mousse first. Dad chose snails which arrived in an alarmingly green foam but which he seemed to enjoy. I had the pork which was beautifully served three ways. Lovely half bottle of Bordeaux went down... More

Ate here while we were waiting for a ferry home and had been hoping to go shopping before we headed back but ran out of time due to slow service. Which would have been fine at dinner but for lunch and considering we had to place our dessert orders at the start and had children with us I would have... More

I have reviewed Le Grand Bleu very favourably previously, but ate there again last night with friends and had an amazing meal. Starter St Jaques carpaccio, then stunning pork three ways and finally a chocolate tart to die for - all freshly prepared. Also two different amuse bouches and petit fours with coffee. The standard of food at Grand Bleu... More

We found this place by accident a few years ago. Yesterday we had a fantastic meal, beautifully presented, tasted fantastic, and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. Not a cheap meal but wort every penny IMO.

Friends, English and French, had recommended this restaurant, so I booked for lunch on our way back to England after a 4 night stay in Picardy, one of our favourite places . We were not disappointed, it was a wonderful lunch and a memorable end to our trip. The food was delicious, innovative and beautifully presented, and the service was... More

The food is first class, and the 29€ menu is really good, and. They speak English which helps. The wine is a little on the expensive side, but not too bad. As a bonus it is only a few minutes from the ferry, and plenty of free parking.

Just finished another excellent meal at Le Grand Bleu. We have been coming to this restaurant since shortly after it opened, must be about 7 years ago now. The food just keeps getting better. So, if you want a fish night out with a difference (meat is also available on the menu) book a table at Le Grand Bleu. The... More

A next door neighbour of Oh Mouettes, where we have eaten before, it was open on Mondays when we were in Calais overnight, so we decided to give it a try. We booked in advance by telephone from the UK (and so secured a window table). We were amongst the first to arrive at 7:45 after which there were a... More
