Second visit

We returned to this charming place, because the food and atmosphere was lovely lastime... It was still great and the food was as delicious... I would like to give 5 stars but the place could really do with some variation on the menu... Think it will have to be a good year before we go back.

A wonderful evening to celebrate. On a cold wet Saturday evening the place was not busy but that allowed Eric the time to provide us with great service, advice and samples of his recommended wines. Friendly and informative his attention, the general ambiance, good but unobtrusive background music and charming characterful toilets (!) made this the best place we have... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the lovely Benoit, the owner of the hotel we were staying at, so decided to give it a try. We were 2 couples and all 4 of us loved it. The owner is so passionate about food and wine and so helpful if you need any guidance in choosing. All of our meals were... More

Restaurant was recommended by our hotel owner, who said it was his favourite. Fantastic value for money and good home style French food. Excellent and personal service with the owner giving detailed explanations of the dishes. Spectacular choice of wines. He suggested a slightly different wine from the one we had chosen to better suit the food we had ordered... More

Before our day trip to Calais, a little research on TripAdvisor and looking at the reviews highlighted this delightful restaurant. A fabulous traditional menu and a chefs special board of the day, what can I say, being greeted and attended to in a warm friendly manner, the food is exceptional as are the wines and experience. And to top it... More

The place is quiet and nice with a pleaseant atmosphere. The choice of wines is awesome and the menu has a short number of selections but everything is FRESH! the service is very good, the owner friendly, the portions tastful and big enouth. We went for the 23 euros menu, highly reccomended.

I tried the daily specials and was thoroughly satisfied with the offerings - the Casserole du Jour was especially lip-smacking. I always enjoy the pleasures of their comprehensive and very reasonable wine list - there is a real pleasure in selecting two differing half bottles to better compliment ones selection. I really hope that the oncoming holiday season will allow... More
