Another Great Lunch!

We always book here for lunch on our way back to Eurotunnel. 4 us booked in for 1pm on 2nd Jan after NYE in France. All of us had a lovely light quiche and salad as starters, and then 2 had slow roasted duck and 2 had fish stew. All delicious and presented well. Service as normal was friendly... read more

I used trip adviser to find the telephone number for this great restaurant and I couldn't believe there were negative reviews! The service is great, the food is great - clearly not frozen rubbish. The wine is excellent and the atmosphere is great. If you want good, authentic french food and wine then this is the place for you. If... More

I have eaten in lots of restaurants in Calais, since the booze cruse & fag runs are over , Calais seems a much nicer place , the general quality of food is on the rise , This restaurant is a fantastic example , I'm scared to rave too much because I don't want it to become constantly fully booked as... As someone in the business I had previously written a quite damming review about this restaurant "slipping" in both quality and service. However I also am aware you can have bad days therefore I will always give a restaurant a second chance. ....... So, I reserved, a table for 5 one of which was a 1 year old. After a... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here on a Wednesday lunchtime. The owner-waiter is delightful and gives excellent service. Lovely, warm decor and great food. We'll definitely go back. But next time, we'll probably choose from the a la carte menu, as there was little saving for our choice of food on the set menu.

This was our first visit to Vignoble et Verre: we turned up without a booking on a moderately busy Friday evening, (having reluctantly walked out of a previously liked restaurant which had a particularly large and noisy family group, making conversation impossible). Our waiter welcomed us, and was keen to explain the dishes: hospitality is clearly taken seriously. The restaurant... More

Once again stopped for Sunday lunch before heading back to the Eurotunnel. Eric excelled himself today with starters of black pudding muffin with apple and onion. His best starter so far. Then chicken and leeks with rice, and 3 types of fish with sauerkraut in a white sauce. Both excellent. With dessert and a very good bottle of wine, only... More

Lovely welcome (even though they were stuffed with a local wine tasting bash), great take on Cozido providing a wonderful French sophistication, beautiful local fish, delicate goats cheese tart, gorgeous Languedoc to wash it all down - and at just 50 Euros !! We'll be back.

Loved this place. Had a fab meal and lots of different wines to go with each course. Excellent, authentic french food. We will definately return on our next visit - can't wait!

We had a superb family meal here on our last night of our stay in France . We had 2 different set menus - the host adapting the offer to vegetarian for me. An excellent Pinot noir was recommended to match our meals from The extensive wine list; great value at 20 euros. The children's menu s were generous portions,... More
