The a la carte menu is expensive, but the fixed price menus are good value. We chose from the Terre and Mer menu, which had four options for each of the starter and main courses, plus cheese and a choice of about twelve desserts, all for 26 euros. We also chose the fixed price wines, three glasses, chosen to match your... Take the fixed price menus which are good value and i took the one which had a salad of whelks! Followed by liver and onions! Only criticism not enough onions but brilliantly cooked and really delicious I had a carafe of red which was good value The food is of a quality that is one of the best in Amiens.... More

The chef knows exactly what he is doing and provides excellent food at a reasonable price. If you want cheap this not it Take one of the fixed price menus which are good value. I took the one with the wines included. That is because the wine list, although good, only offers expensive wines. The food is one of the... More

We made a trip to see Amiens just after Xmas, staying overnight. I had booked Le Bouchon and the wet weather meant we turned up early at 19:15. We enjoyed great service, the highlight of which was that our host dropped us back to our chambre d'hotes! I had rognons de veau which combined brilliantly with gratin dauphinoise. As a... More

My wife and I ate here last week on the advice of the hotel concierge and decent reviews online. This was clearly the worst food and service we have expereinced in France. The arrogant waiter made no effort to help us, recommended a wine that was corked (and caused considerably pain to return) and was absent most of the meal.... More

we ate here because most of Amiens is closed on a Monday night! What a find - really good food in the spirit of the Lyons bouchons. I ordered the squab pigeon from the specials board cooked 'a la badiane' an aniseed flavour which I wanted to experience, expecting the worst. It was SUPERB! I had asked for a light... More

The 28 euro menu has some excellent choices I had terrine of rabbit Half a pigeon Tarte tatin of apricots The outstanding dish for me was the pigeon, perfectly rare with just a hint of liquorice in the jus The expertise of the chef is evident in all of the dishes Admittedly the wine prices are high so I had... The room has a quiet style as do the well presented dishes. I can't say that it reminded me of the bouchons of Lyon more of a modern urban restaurant, an none the worse for that. Each plate served had more than a nodding acquaintance with coffe table picture books. All very pretty and all tasty. The menu is not... More

I would never qualify this restaurant as " one to avoid", nor as exceptional, but if you like Lyon-ese food, you have found a place with an outstandingl quality-price ratio. Keep the wines simple: Côteaux du Lyonnais, Beaujolais are affordable and thus gracefully combine with " pied de cochon", andouillette (grilled of course) and -please take some risks -"cervelle de... Poor service, rude waiters, disgusting food. My main course was dehydrated and the vegetables were unrecognisable. Even though they claim the food is freshly prepared, the chef was unable to adapt the food for my dairy intolerance! The open pot of coarse salt on the table had traces of other people's fingers and un-identifiable debris in it! Never again!
