We had a terrible meal, we chose coq au vin accompanied by pomme dauphinoise. The chicken was tough and the potato was dry and stale. This food had been cooked many hours (or days) before and served as an inedible tepid mess. Noone asked why two of the plates were returned almost untouched. Do not visit this place. There are... The menu was limited, but that was our preference as it meant that... More

A nice window table was provided. My friend & I chose the 'gisier' starter. It was a generous plate of chicken pickled gizards awash on a bed of limp... More

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant in Amiens that featured local ingredients and was not a tourist trap. We checked out a number of menus and chose Chez Maman. It was just across the canal from the strip of restaurants on Rue Belu. The owner uses fresh produce from the Horillonnages (the canal gardens). Try the local... More

Our dinner was lovely, the staff friendly and attentive. They explained all the dishes to us as we do not speak French. The food tasted so fresh and perfectly prepared. The standout dishes were the Haddock Tartare entree and the Tarte Tartin dessert, but our main courses were fantastic as well. The menu was for the one day only, so... More
