We tried this place, as we had been unhappy with the others we had tried in Amiens. The service was great, the food fantastic & the place had a real friendly ambiance. In fact we both enjoyed it so much, upon leaving we booked again for Friday night, glad we did as it extremely busy. We both had different meals... More

...literally translated from La Dent Creuse...but the real meaning is eternal appetite...which is appropriate as the food was eternally salivating...a tourist spot it was not as the clientele was straight out of Maigret...distinguished...genteel...and a joy to watch. ...lunch there...you will not want to anywhere else...Oneleg tried the wild pheasant...like chicken but wildly intoxicating...French Sauces. ...the gentleman who served us was... Arrived as the staff were still eating. None the less we were ushered to a table and had a splendid menu touristique - three courses for 22 Euro. The fish sauerkraut is out of this world and my friend had the most delicious apple tart imaginable.

We had a lovely dinner there. The hosts were very friendly and the food was very tasty. The atmosphere was relaxing and it was great to enjoy dinner next to the cathedral.

This restaurant is situated right outside the back of the cathedral so, at first, I was expecting a bit of a tourist trap with average food and service. However I was pleasantly surprised. The first time we went in was by chance as my little group were fed up walking around the town. After that we went back for 3... More

We had a few hours in the middle of the day to spend in Amiens, and we chanced upon this restaurant near the cathedral. The lunchtime set menu looked alright from the board outside, so we went in. It offered the usual menu du jour, with a flexible choice of number of courses. Well, it was more than alright. We... More

I used to live and work in Amiens and La Dent creuse had quite a good reputation for tasty traditional food, it was popular with both locals and tourists. The development of the excellent restaurants across the river in the quartier St Leu must have hit town centre restaurants for we were surprised to find La Dent creuse a shadow... More

Stopped here with a handful of friends in the mid week, and we were pleasantly surprised. The menu is typical of the area, the portions are good and the chef turns out excellent fare. The wine list was short but to the point and offered good white and red choices. Overall we were all very happy, and would recommend it... More

We found this restaurant when after wandering around Amiens and enjoyed it so much we returned the next night. Both nights we had the tourist menu 20euro for 3 courses (the selections were great) and came away fully satisfied. The staff (we assumed family) were wonderful and did not hesitate on making great suggestions. In 6 weeks of travel we... More
