Location is wonderful, of course. As well as an historycal place. Remember: when you'll enter, you'll pay all of this! Now let's talk about the food and drink, because that is the real purpose: Omelettes. That's it. In their menu they offer just that and for the "reasonable" amount of 30€ (!!!). If you wanna drink something, try a bottle... More

I knew that La Mère Poluard is an expensive restaurant and I knew that one goes there to taste the most celebrated omelette in the world. I knew that Le Mont Saint Michel is a unique place and normally that means paying everything more than usual. But here we are beyond any realistic and decent imagination. Much beyond. We were... We were told that when you go to Mont-Saint-Michel eat here. The fluffy Omelettes and the copper kettle show lived up to their billing and speaking of which bring your wallet. The location, right at the entry to the Mont is desirable and eating here give you the calories you need to have to propel you up the hundreds of... More

The chefs beat out a captivating drum routine on their copper kettles stirring the omelets as you approach the restaurant enticing you in like the "drummers" of old. The omelets are wonderful, salads great, everything well prepared and priced so sky-high you'll question your sanity for coming in but hey, it's Mere Poulard at Mont St. Michel and you're probably... But, if you need to think about the price, maybe you will need to think about it first. My wife and I came specifically for the omlette - their claim to fame. And, they fully deserve the fame - never tasted an omlette like it. An incredible eating experience. This is a very busy tourist spot, so the staff is... More

It was early October, the weather was amazing, hot and humid and Mt St Michel was crowded and buzzing - at this time of the year it is open until 6:00pm. We finished our tour of the monastery (really worthwhile) and hungry and hot we decided that it was time for lunch. We rrived at a very crowded La Mere... More

It is not about the money, it is about the money/what you get ratio. When I checked the menu with my parents before entering, we saw a picture of the so known omelette. It appeared to be a huge omelette. So we agreed that it could be worth 30€. I even asked the waiter about the size and he said... More

Over priced, not worth 39 Euros for an omelette. The fire alarm went on as we started to eat. It was on for five minutes. The staff said they had a problem with the alarm and they cannot stop it. The ambiance was terrible. The food was tasteless and very ordinary. No special presentation a simple omelette with salmon inside.... More
