We ate here both for a lunch one day and another for dinner, and in both cases the food and service was good. A good choice on the menu although the menu is the same throughout the day - you can order starters only for lunch if the main meals dont appeal. For those who don' speak French, they do... read more

We called in with no reservation and asked if they could seat 11 of us together. Not a problem, tables were quickly rearranged and we were seated with a smile. Service was attentive but not pushy. A mixture of French and English was spoken. Dietary requirements were not a problem. Food arrived promptly and was hot and tasty. The staff... More

the price food ratio is below par, the interior is nothing special, so not recommendable. Only the waiters were nice in their attitude.

After a busy day touring the D Day beaches and battle monuments our family group was looking for a "chill-out" dining experience! We found it in spades at Hastings - great seafood and surprisingly good pizza selection. Warm service in enthusiastic "Franglaise" and a great Normany neighborhood vibe. Super price-value-ambiance ratio.

This restaurant might be 'excellent' in June but forget it in September! We had no reservation, but we went there last night around 8 p.m. and were promptly seated at a table for two on the terrasse. Our waiter was charming; the wine was passable; the food was not. The huge portion of shrimp cocktail on the nightly special was... More

We went to Carbourg with nostalgia about Marcel Proust. But this restaurant stained the great name and the place. We went to dine at around 10PM. My son ordered a steak. He was chewing hard on that thing before he told me the steak was like a rubber. I looked for our waiter, and it seemed that he took off from... More

It's not chic or elegant. But The Hastings is an easy walk from The Grand and always seems to draw a crowd. Last night on the evening of D Day it was the perfect spot to grab a quick pizza (first, foie gras because why not!). The Marguerite and Chorizo pizzas were a perfect light repast and the foie gras,... More

This restaurant is convenient if you are staying at the Grand Hotel and want some thing close by. We went on a Sunday night when most places were closed. Would definitely recommend the pizza. Do not expect it to be fancy, but the food is good

Ventured out from our hotel in Cabourg and stumbled upon this very friendly and entertaining restaurant. We were on a group tour to the Normandy Beaches. This was an evening when there were no included meals. What a find. Good wine, good food, and a waiter that spoke excellent English. Which was a great help, because we speak very little... More
