We go every time we are in the area when it's lunchtime. It is getting steadily more popular and steadily more commercial - just look at their web site, which has gone from "basic" with very little in English to now being relatively swish. I must support other comments about how difficult it is to find - have a good... More

This was my 5th visit. We adore this place. From the outside, it looks like a nothing kind of place. Inside delicious food and a warm welcome awaits. The 21 euro menu is amazing value and the quantity/quality of the food is exceptional. If you love great french cooking and you like your seafood - don't look any further. We... More

Need to book in advance because the place is buzzing for lunch . Arrived 10 minutes early for 1.30 but had to wait , it was full . The 21 euro is excellent . I had scallops to start and skate for main , my wife had longustine and sole , really good with quite large portions . The waiters... More

Brilliant place, good value, tasty food. When we went on a weekday lunchtime it was packed with locals, always a good sign and we weren't disappointed. They also do filled baguettes and various other food to take away which looked good if you don't want the full sit down lunch. They open at 4am if you are an early riser!... More

My dining partner is a fish eater. I am not. As a treat we went through Le Shuttle to the restaurant. Only a 26 minute drive. My non fish dishes were delightful and my partner enjoyed sweet and plump oysters and a Dover sole. If you like drinks from the area, try Le Genievre de Houlle Carte Noire. Wow, what... More

Decided to go with the daily specials & picked crisp skate cheeks with tartare sauce (& a little dressed salad), then a potage which was a thick, subtly spiced soup almost solid with chunks of different fish - mullet, hake, 2 others I didn't identify - & carrot, potato, celeriac, mussels in shell. A little pear & almond tart with... More

Driving to this restaurant will lead you into an industrial area with depots and lorries everywhere. From the outside, the restaurant actually looks like yet another depot but as you go in you'll be very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. We had the 21 euro menu with a great starter, marinated herring, salmon file and cheese platter as dessert.... More

I don't understand why this place is considered for locals as the restaurant was mainly filled with tourists like us. It is preferable to arrive early, we came at noon and had no problem finding a table. At 12:30, the place was packed. I am not sure I understand why. This is an interesting place and the waiters are nice... More
