Consistently Good

We have dined here on at least six occasions whilst visiting Boulogne. We usually have either the Snails, French onion soup or the Goats cheese salad to start then the Moules Frites as a main with the creme caramel or apple pie for dessert. The food is always tasty, reasonably priced especially if... read more

Friendly little place on a cobbled side street, with outside tables, with good service, where the owner speaks excellent English. The food is OK, especially the prix fixes, and very reasonably priced.

Two of us for dinner, father and son, tried the mid-range menu at 25 euros each. My starter of smoked salmon and main course of steak were good. My tarte au citron was lemon meringue pie, of which I wasn't a fan. Son's starter of frogs' legs was good but the piece de boeuf du Boucher was too tough .... More

Stumbled in here for lunch - we had a big hotel breakfast and originally wanted a creperie but the nearest one was closed. Pretty good kids menu not just the usual rubbish. My daughters fish was really nicely cooked. I ordered moules but they brought standard mariniere and not what I ordered. It looked good so I tucked in rather... More

Decided to try the French Onion Soup - mistake ! Looked like wallpaper paste! Not an onion to be seen anywhere looked like it had been thickened with potato ! Horrible. My husband half - enjoyed the pate but the salami type sausage that acompanied it looked and tasted raw and unable to chew! Such a disappointment as there were... More

With our friends, we had read good reviews about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be excellent. Friendly service with well presented food. A reasonably priced menu from which mussels by the bucket load seem to be consumed by the occupants. The starter of country pates is a sufficient meal on its... More

Six of us had dinner here and we were all very happy with our choice of restaurant. Really good menu choices and the portions were extremely generous and all of us were very full at the end of the meal. The food was really tasty and we all enjoyed our meals very much. The restaurant is good value for money... More

Went to old town bolougne with friends just for a weekend booze trip and stumbled upon this restaurant on the Saturday night. Very extensive menu. We went for the 3 course menu for 22 Euros which was amazing. The portions were massive and the service was friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

We found this lovely restaurant conveniently close to our hotel in the old city and its range of different priced menus lured us in. We had the 22 euros prix fixe and we chose fish and seafood which was generous in portion and delightfully cooked. The service was unobtrusive and well-judged and the courses arrived at just the right pace... More

Very 'family'', excellent service. Great value for lunch. Highly recommended. Went looking for certain restaurants but should have known that Tuesday is when most eateries are closed. Took a chance, glad we did!
