We visited this restaurant by chance because all of the ones we tried with higher ratings from Tripadvisor were closed on a Thursday evening in mid September. We were pleasantly surprised by this traditional French restaurant. The fixed price menu was very good, especially the scallops. The prices were reasonable, the service good and the surroundings pleasant.

Visited on a Saturday night. I had mussels, my husband had a steak. Both meals were lovely. Friendly service. Would recommend.

We always stop in Boulogne in our way down through France and we always look forward to the sole at le Swan. The chef is clearly someone who loved their fish. Our visit at the end of August was no different except this time my husband had the entrecote and would agree with the previous reviewer that it was a... More

Visited the Swan for the third consecutive year to end the holiday. The last two visits were very good, this one was just ok, I'm sorry to say. The fixed price menus are very good on paper but the main courses just let them down. The starters of mussels and onion soup were very good but the steaks and frites... More

Once again I had a fantastic lunch at Le Swan. The boeuf bourguignon was slow cooked and very tender served with crisp frites. My girlfriend had the salade de la mer which was fresh and generous. Staff speak English which is helpful for the less confident traveller. Prices are very competitive and as others have mentioned portions are generous. Very... More

A lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Portions very good and alcohol reasonably priced. A good place to sit and people watch. In the old town, a stone's throw from the cathedrale.

We ate her recently and were very impressed. The food was excellent, the portions good and well cooked, the staff were very friendly and the wine was reasonably priced. All in all a very nice meal at a reasonable price-highly recommended.

Three tables with French customers and 4 English so a good mix. 2 young ladies very helpful and attentive. Food as always excellent. Realised I first ate at this place (different name then) in 1984. Selected it originally because of the wonderful smell of garlic, and been back fairly regularly ever since.

We normally eat at the Poiverie opposite but it was closed, it is owned by the same man as Le Swan. Waitress has a wonderful sense of humour beautiful moules & calamari for starter steaks were a bit on the tough side but superbly cooked. The Creme brûlée was beautiful think we have changed our allegience!
