We dined here yesterday for the second time, and for the second time, the food was superb. The oysters were beautifully fresh, and the turbot was wonderful. Both times we've been, though, the ambience has been a bit dour.....while the service is efficient and polite, it's not exactly "service with a smile". It's a shame because they go to such... More

My husband and I dined at La Faisanderie after an emotional day visiting War Graves and we could not have been more impressed on any front. The service was delightful and the food faultless. We both had three courses and enjoyed everything and would certainly go back.Don't be put off by going into a basement, it has a great atmosphere.

The quality Of the food was entirely eclipsed by the miserable and inattentive Service. From ten minute intervals between service, to warm wine, being offered bread late, empty bottles uncleared - and in each instance of politely asking for something met with terrible attitude. We paid over 60euros each ( party of 7) for a meal we will not repeat.

This is the place to be for the local dishes of Arras, at reasonable prices and in the cosy atmosphere of a basement. Unfortunately, the prices of the extensive wine list are less affordable and the service is cold. Anyway, the pros of this restaurant make it a place to dinner when you visit Arras.

I usually try to "steal" a day on the way home to stay in Arras and eat here. I have never been disappointed either with the quality or the service. One of your reviewers said they had booked but were turned away. We booked our first time and arrived to find a French wedding in full swing downstairs. The restaurant... More

We found the food at this restaurant to be excellent. We enjoyed all the courses especially the grand mariner soufflé which was very light and very alcoholic, but oh so good! The waiting staff were delightful but the main front of house lady was rather stern and not exactly welcoming.

Lunch at La Faisanderie has to be one of the best meals of this trip. We chose the Formule Gastronomique and both had Foie Gras Frais and then Boeuf de Race – the beef was tender and delicious. Dessert was a Soufflé Chaud with Grand Marnier. Looking forward to returning.

Four of us ate here during a battlefield tour. The meal was excellent I Foie gras de canard followed by Magret de Canard, and then a Passion Fruit soufflé. Others had cod, foie gras, Grand marnier soufflé. All the food was excellent - the idea of serving duck on skewers with hot cantaloupe melon (which I initially assumed to be... More

We booked an evening meal via email, we received confirmation of booking via email, we arrived at the restaurant - fully booked; we showed the maître d' their booking confirmation. LF attitude - we are full, not interested. We shall never go there again!

Reading a recent review which said that this restaurant was mediocre is probably being generous. Just about the worst meal I have ever eaten in France, and with a very high price tag as well. The wine, a Pinot Gris I believe, was delicious, although a little pricy at 35 Euros. We debated leaving when the canapés arrived - sliced... More
