Small.restaurant on the Grand Place serving generous portions of tasty Italian food. Not fine dining but everything that could reasonably be asked of such a place.
We had a full days travel before arriving in Arras and wanted a casual evening with good, but light food. This restaurant was perfect. They were friendly, there was a buzz about the place and the food was delicious. My husband had the Pizza and I had pasta...we both thought the food was very good. Service was efficient, warm and... We arrived in Arras at 1:45pm for a late lunch. Although other places were closing and were not interested in our custom, the Montesilvano was happy to stay open and serve four weary travellers. Nice pizzas, good wine and a pleasant environment, with charming service.
We came here exhausted following a week skiing, on the advice of Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. The main square looked so pretty all lit up, a delight after only ever seeing The railway area of the city which is pretty grim! It was fairly busy, good idea to book,(most hotels are happy to do this for you). We were... More
Reasonably attentive service by the waitress serving in the basement, but the restaurant was getting busier by 8pm and the service lenghtier. My thin-crust pizza was OK but not exceptional, and my partner's pasta equally passable. The price was not expensive for France, our meal for four with drinks cost 75 Euros. Not a restaurant that I would remember in... More
This is a really nice pizzeria- modern design and good food and ambiance. Great to come out into the Grand Place after an evening meal to see all the buildings beautifully flood lit.
I visited this lovely, authentic Italian restaurant on a Sunday evening. Like others have said the frontage of the premises does not inspire you and is slightly gaudy with a very bright and over colourful scheme. Once you enter however and are offered a table in the cellar you will find a delightful modern bright restaurant. The staff were very... More
My husband arrived shortly before 7:00 and the family graciously opened the restaurant for us. The food was good, my husband had the Buffalo burger & fries - so good to have fries made the way the should be, instead of the mushy or overdone fries that we get in Canada these days! I had the penne arriabiata, pasta was... More
Following a poor meal at a more expensive restaurant on the previous evening, we decided to try something simple and went to a Pizza Restaurant 'Montesilvano" at the far end of the main square. From the outside this just looks like a cheap Pizza type place, but as they say 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' When we arrived... More
Chose this restaurant after reading trip advisor reviews. We were very disappointed. At best, it was average. My husband is convinced that the pizza bases were shop bought. I had lasagne, which was very bland. On the plus side, it was clean and the staff were friendly but I think there must be much better eating establishments in Arras.
