We had reservations for 7:30. The place was empty when we arrived but it filled up quickly. If we had come later we would have seen the massive portions being served and might not have ordered both a starter and a main for each of us. Everything was delicious and well prepared, and was a marvelous sampling of regional dishes,... More

Overall this was a disappointing experience. I wanted to try the regional dish called aligot, which is a potato puree together with a cheese element. The starter Aubrac salad was good but the main dish of local sausage and aligot was really very mediocre. In fact I would say the sausage was the least appetising one I can remember eating.... More

L'Aubrac was recommended by one of the local shops as a good place for local food, and we booked a table during the afternoon. The owner was pleasant and very happy when we booked. The restaurant was almost empty when we returned, but a few other customers came during our dinner. It was not "crowded." The food was excellent. We... More

First-class traditional food of the region. Very reasonable for the quality & quantity of the cuisine on offer. Service both efficient and friendly, notwithstanding the numbers dining.

Great value. Good food. Never disappoints (unless it's shut)!

This was packed when we arrived, but they squeezed us in, on a table at back of restaurant next to a poodle rather disgruntled at having his space invaded. Still, i'd rather that than be turned away. It certainly looked popular, full of locals, and lovely atmosphere. The lad serving the entire restaurant never stopped (presumably not even to hitch... More

I have only eaten here twice so far, but on each occasion the local speciality food has been both hearty and wonderfully tasty. This is not a fine dinning restaurant, what you will get is hearty portions that would fill the most ravenous customer. Casual dress is the norm, although you will always see a few French dressed up to... More

While vacationing in Salles-la-Source a few years ago, I spent a day walking around Rodez and stopped in here for dinner. The charcuterie platter was 100% local, and enough for four people to share. Fresh trout with a side of l'aligot (local specialty of potato puree and cheese) for my main course, and a great creme brulee for dessert. I... More
